Loved what you said about not having as much control over pregnancy as people think! I HATE the “when are you having kids” question because we’ve been actively trying for a while with no luck. If I could snap my fingers and be pregnant I would, but it doesn’t work that way!

I got married young too, at 18… My husband and I just celebrated 3 years of marriage and our daughter turns 1 next month🥹 I love seeing your life updates again and that we took a similar path. Ok I never understood the macro counting thing because it sounds like it becomes an obsession of over-analyzing food, and don’t those behaviors mimic eating disorders? Like even though it’s not the same the behaviors still would be triggering and follow the same pattern but it’s “ok” lol? Anything that wires my brain to obsess over food is kind of wack idk the best part of food is the social aspect of it for me so if eating with friends is a mental/physical process then for the sake of my mental health, nah.

You are absolutely right, obsessing over how many calories a food has is dangerous behavior and should not be normalized. However, there is a very fine line between considering it necessary and considering it an eating disorder. I think that, as long as it is done following medical instructions, it is fine. 😊
