I understand love. I had endometriosis and ovarian cyst and I had to literally plan my outfit around my pain. Pants in my stomach, heels long walks or just bending down would cause the worst pain ever. It also affected intimacy with my husband. I suffered for 10 years and in 2010 surgery changed my life. My testimony is I was told I couldn’t have children. God blessed me and my husband with 4 beautiful kids. What an awesome God. Faith is the substance of things hopes for and the evidence of what is not seen.( Hebrews 11:1)

I found out I had fibroids while I was pregnant, one was so large it basically was growing faster than the baby causing a miscarriage. I actually had no symptoms , i didn’t have a belly bulge or anything had I not been pregnant and had the miscarriage, I would’ve never known. I had my myomectomy in 2019. My dr originally thought it was 1 large tumor and it turned out to be 8! I was scared because it was my first surgery EVER but it was fine and my scar is small and I’m glad I did it. That recovery tho lol and I had a beautiful baby boy in 2021 after having surgery in 2019. So it’s very good that you took care of it now.

I didnt know I had fibroids until I was pregnant and it was a tough pregnancy. I was hospitalized twice and developed sciatica temporarily because one was sitting on my nerves. Thankfully she was healthy the entire time but i was in pain the entire time. I considering surgery although i have no major symptoms

I'm so glad you are sharing your story 🙏🏾 you never know who you may help/inspire. I have endometriosis (stage iv) it can literally be debilitating the pain and emotions takes a toll, and I think it can be hard for others to understand. 'Had' to have an ovary removed but kept a blocked fallopian tube. Sometimes I regret surgery; just wondering what else I could have done, but everyone has to do what's best for them. Everyone seen that the chemicals from relaxes seeped down from Our scalps and cause fibroids, also Styrofoam cups, plates and soy are high in estrogen which causes fibroids & make them grow. So pls watch what you consume because Our uterus are under attack

I'm happy your feeling much better Sophia. I've had fibroids removed twice; they came back because I kept eating the same things and should have changed my eating habits but didn't know at that time. The Drs didn't mention to me whatsoever what the cause of fibroids are. Please research foods high in estrogen & products that cause fibroids I know Styroam has estrogen, meats b/c of the hormones in the animals and soy. Please avoid and look up what causes them because Our wombs are under attack. Also the chemicals from hair relaxes. God bless

This was definitely for me, thank you. I was diagnosed with fibroids a few years ago and was in the process of seeing a Dr and discussing my options but my insurance ended and I haven’t had them checked. A few years and one yr old later and I have consistent pain in my back, arms and neck. I’m constantly taking pain meds with no help, I just said the other day I was going to find a PCP that would really listen to me when I say I have fibroids and I think they’re causing some issues and actually do something about instead of ignore me. I have so many questions for you because I really want mine removed and my confidence back. Can you please tell me what surgery you had, what kind of problems and pain did you experience? if u were pregnant your gynecologist should've been aware of the fibroids and addressed it you're definitely blessed to have carried a baby to term with fibroids bcuz it can be very difficult to do so in some cases even leading to miscarriage. My cousin had fibroids she removed them but yrs later they returned so she opted for a hysterectomy she was in her late 30s no kids she chose that option due to the unbearable pain and til this day she said she has no regrets about that option bcuz again the pain was too much to handle. I encourage u to speak with your gynecologist so they can direct u in the right path so u can heal

Sophia thank u for sharing. So many women of color suffer from fibroids and endometriosis. I’m going through this now. I’m watching ting to have surgery but what I’ve learnt is that our diet plays a major role where fibroids is concerned unfortunately for persons that suffer from fibroids can’t eat the way others eat. We have to be mindful of our meat, dairy and alcohol consumption just our diet in general. I love food and it has been so challenging for me to make changes.

I recently found out I have two fibroids and one is about 4cm. Since I just turned 30 I do plan on removing it right away sometime this year b/c I’m tired of having my belly looking so bloated all the time. In the beginning stages during last fall I felt something wasn’t right b/c my period was so heavy and my stomach will not slim down after changing my diet and eating healthier. Listening to you speak on this makes me feel hopeful that everything is going to be okay when I do decide to have the myomecyomy surgery
