I’m new to trucking actually still in training ( my last couple of days before testing out) and came upon your page. I don’t usually watch KZbin content as I find most people either take too long to get to the point or there’s too many unnecessary things in the videos. But I will say that you have definitely inspired me and made me a bit more confident in getting on the road. It’s a little bittersweet as I just stumbled upon your page last night and got to this video just now ( I was watching all of your old videos). 😱 omg. I just an office job because im tired of trucking. Working as a safety specialist for a trucking company. I couldn’t do it anymore for my mental health. I needed more time for myself on the weekends

You really have to be a certain type of person to be a trucker long term. Even as a guy, I don't think I could be a trucker. It just looks too lonely. And constantly using "rest stop" facilities would get old to me. I'm not knocking folks that do it, they make good money. But you have to be willing to be away from family and social life (at weird times). That road is long and lonely.

J,do the travel movement,it's fun.LOL.I'm back in the states after working over seas for the past 10 yrs,as a civilian contracter ( Qatar,Iraq,Kuwait,Afganistan ) mostly sercurity forces and some logistics also.I didn't really want to come back to the states at all.but,the US military got pulled outta Afganistan.Man,was I PISSED !!! LOL. Before being a civilian contracter,I deployed 4 times to Iraq with the Texas National Guard ( I volunteered for all 4 tours) I did 2 tours back-to back also.My co-workers at my civilian job thought I had quit ( had been gone for 2 yrs and 8 months )my last 2 deployments I did year on,year off.Now back working 9-5-I"M SO BORED !!! LOL.

I got my Class 1 🇨🇦 which is the equivalent to Class A 🇺🇸 last year. I was able secure a job OTR states side all summer which was AMAZING! Unfortunately I’ve been lost in political loop holes ever since. My trainer was OUTSTANDING but our carrier discouraged us from continuing on with their new driver training program structure. Its been quite the year hasn’t it. I’m looking forward to watching all your other videos. I’m hopeful that things will open back up for me soon. I’m not about to 💉 to get a job. I also live on an island that requires proof of residence to gain entry during cov closures so that’s been additionally limiting. I’m not swayed like you said timing is everything💚

A year ago, I too was experiencing burnt out in my job, along with personal struggles and health, but I believe God had you help inspire me to really look into truck driving after stumbling across one of your videos, and now I start cdl school this week and am grabbing hold of my future again.
