I've had the amex gold card for the past three years and i'l actually be upgrading mine in december to the platinum or switching to a competitor bc they raised the annual fee and imo the benefits you get aren't beneficial enough for the fee for the gold. Plus there is no lounge access with the gold card, so it wasn't much help with traveling for me. I'm interested to see if others have any recs for cc's though 👀
