I'm curious how your content on this channel will change this year with all of these exciting group trips. I must admit, I much prefer your good old traveling video series as they feel more organic and exciting compared to the group trips. Although ultimately you should do whatever makes you happy!

Being a walking/hiking guide in the uk is a great long term plan! an amazing challenge. its on my bucket list to walk from coast to coast cross the country, staying at pubs alone the way!! Maybe you'll be qualified by the time I get around to it! As a Aussie, the idea of walking the breadth of a country is epic, plus the whole 'free to roam' concept is so mind boggling to me! Love the life/travel content! Q&A question- best souvenir you've purchased for yourself? best souvenirs you're friends/family loved? Hope you're enjoying your summer!

Thank you for making another Q&A, these are very helpful videos. Two questions, somewhat connected. Q1) Would you consider making a video on solo backpacking, for women hikers, going over all the places you’ve been so far, and ranking or listing how safe and accommodating each was for you as a solo female hiker? Not so much focusing on general best practices for safety when traveling alone as a woman, but focusing on the actual location itself and your experiences while hiking solo. Specially since so much of hiking is about going to more remote areas of the country and often include, more alternative options for transportation Q2) Also as a solo traveler, as a woman, It would be particular helpful if you could also talk a bit about the camera, and if you think the fact that you have a camera helps in deterring less than ideal interactions, since there is a record? Or if it perhaps increases your visibility? Thank you very much and best of luck with the new home! :)

Just wanted to pop a massive thank you for your Philippines series, esp the ultimate guide. I am currently backpacking there and so much is still relevant! I would have been completely lost without it and would definitely have missed places like Camiguin (still a hidden gem in case you’re wondering!). Speaking of which, my very nosey question is are you still in touch with Cole from Canada?!

Hi fantastic catch up. Such a shame we will miss each other in Nepal. I am heading there early next year. I’m really looking forward to it. I would love to do the Everest base camp hike but I’m really not fit enough. My cousin David has summited it. He was one of the youngest ever, at the time. He is still in touch with some friends he made there. Good luck I can’t wait to watch. Hopefully we can catch up when I am next in uk? Probably not till next summer now. 🥰

Hi! So glad to see new content! I have been watching your videos for years, and you inspired me to go on my first solo backpacking adventure! I was so scared and doubtful but you had so many good tips and tricks so I finally built up my courage to quit my job and go solo traveling for 17 months across 25 countries and it completely changed my life! Thanks for being such a great inspiration!! :) I even started a KZbin channel to let my family and friends see what I was up to. I haven't figured out how to make my channel grow really but also it's more of a hobby project so I'm not too bothered by it, but maybe something I will work on in the future. Also, my parents are doing Everest base camp this October too, how crazy would it be if you guys met! This is getting rather long but keep up the good work, love to see it! I'm sure you're giving lots of people the courage to travel more/travel solo/fulfill their travel dreams! /Ann

Q&A I have always had a passion for travel, even more so from watching all your videos! I live in Australia and am taking a gap year after studying in 2026 and want to spend most of it travelling, likely a lot of it will be solo travelling. Are there any recommendations you have for trying to plan for a gap year/long term trip or anything you think I should or shouldn't do as a relatively new traveller on this trip? I think my biggest problem is wanting to see and do everything so trying to keep it manageable and realistic!

Are you ever affected by Altitude sickness? I just returned from Peru and at my highest I was at Puno & lake Titicaca @ 3800m or 12,500 feet and let me tell you, it kicked my @ss!!!!! I couldn’t breathe just going to the bathroom! I nearly died hiking, my resting heart rate was always at 120bpm and I was constantly freezing! I survived obviously but my dreams of Nepal and any other high altitude travel got squashed for sure. What a crazy experience.

Hi Christine, recently discovered your channel and I am obsessed! I am planning a 4-5 month backpacking trip to South America , I want to start in Patagonia and work my way up to warmer climates- I am debating which backpack to buy, I know you used to use an eagle creek 40L backpack but I just wondered whether you think I could manage with hand luggage only and what your thoughts are on this, or whether this would be a struggle given the variety of climates to be expected Thank you!!!

Christianne, how many people check in with success stories after getting travel ideas from watching your video adventures? I have one. I just got back from Playa Venao and Panama City. Never heard of PV before your video from a year ago, but the Selina looked tremendous and the beach looked stunning and I've been wanting to take a first trip to Latin America, always wanted to learn to surf. Super easy 3 hour drive to ORD and 5 1/2 hour nonstop to PTY. First time in the tropics, first time at a beach in 8 years and it was beautiful and relaxing. It was during Copa America and Euro 2024, so that was exciting. The surf instructor was outstanding. Third lesson, plus an hour practice, and I was up. Panama City was good too, Latin America on easy-mode for a first-timer. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

I believe you still don't need hire a guide to trek in the Everest region including to base camp. Base camp itself is, in my opinion, forgettable. Whatever you do don't miss climbing Kala Patthar which has fantastic views. Ideally combine the trek with crossing to Gokyo valley and climbing Gokyo Ri which also has fantastic views. Take acclimatation seriously. The more time you acclimatise the more you will enjoy it. There are no prizes for doing it fast. Many rescues when I was there last, all on short holidays and went up too fast.
