Carly! I'm also a single mama to a now almost 12 yrs old gorgeous boy! Definetely continue cuddling with him in his crib, in your bed in the morning,... I can tell you that I got a lot of criticism from people that meant well when he was just a baby. They we're scared that he would grow up into a grown man too attached to his mother. Thank G-d I didn't listen. I can proudly say that those cuddle times is one of the many things that made him very compassionate and caring towards the world, even til this day as a super hormonal preteen. Because no matter what, he feels safe and unconditionally loved by his mom. Now we cuddle and talk about everything on the sofa, every night before bedtime. And that makes me feel safe. To know that he feels he can share what's on his heart when it is heavy, or just talk about lego's for a full hour because he knows that I will listen. Cuddle, show unconditional love, be his safe space. You are an amazing mother, woman, human. Thank you for sharing you're light with us, we really appreciate it.
