Dougherty Fourteen, even though it's not catchy, is most accurate. But, technically they could use it to reference the amount of kids. Until, unless they take in more, haha. Kind of like that "...kids and counting" show.

Crock pot meal idea: ( and yes I know it’s loaded with sugar and not for every day) boxed meatballs and equal parts coke and ketchup in a crockpot. The coke and ketchup turns into an amazing bbq sauce on the meatballs. Serve over rice or on a bun. It really amazing. No one can believe the sauce is what it is. Not disgusting sweet when done. Always a favourite at a group event.

Have you done a Greek night? Gyros you could pick up boxes of the kits. Tzatziki sauce. Greek flavored olives, feta cheese ect. Also I'm not sure what it is called for sure but I think it's moussaka its Turkish its eggplant, ground beef browned , tomatoes ,onion, and garlic. Salt pepper, to taste then bake until vegetables are cooked through. My family band together when I make egg rolls. It's a lot of work to roll them up so we do it together. I don't use cabbage in mine so I was told that they are more like phillipines style lumpia. Jamaica also has an egg roll it has all the normal ingredients plus peanut butter. I had it once and it was good. Norwegian night lutefisk, lefse, pickled herring. Do a depression meal night. Fried potatoes, onions, with cut up hotdogs canned tomato sauce or ketchup is what my grandmother used. Check Depression cooking with Clara on KZbin. She was such a dear lady.

I do enjoy your videos. When I was 18, fifty years ago, I wanted to work in a Children's Home but my mum insisted I teach, as my father who had passed away wished that for me. Anyway I love feeding children. I don't know why but I do. I like how you don't get stressed out. I was left to bring up one child alone. I was married. Believe me it was hard work, many problems. I don't know how you keep calm. I have noticed through your videos that the children really really love you. I know they show it in different ways. I still wish I had worked in a Children's Home though.

I laughed so hard at the beginning! My 4yo is constantly shaking his booty at us😂😂😂 I probably say “please stop shaking your booty in (insert name of everyone in the house including the dog) face. They don’t like that.” about a million times of day. I have tried ignoring it but he will get closer and closer to the face🤣🤣 If he stands on his chair during meals he is at the height where it is butt ON face! Oy Vey! Must just be a 4 year old thing! Such a normal behavior. Many of my other kiddos have done it too! To me being a single foster mama is a beautiful chaos!! I love it and it was absolutely the best choice I ever made for me and my biological daughter!! I will soon be adopting a sibling group of 3 kids that have been with me over over 3 years (an almost 8 year old, a 7 year old (those 2 are 10 months apart) and a 4 year old!!🥰🥰 Can’t wait to add more to my family!!!🙌 I encourage all of you that if you are interested in foster care to get PLEASE consider becoming licensed. If you aren’t able to have kids in your home you can become a respite provider which is a babysitter. Respite providers are need just as badly as licensed foster homes since we can only leave our kids with people the state has approved. At least that is how it is where I am. If anyone ever wants more information about how to become a licensed foster home or has further questions please feel free to ask me anything at all! Homes are needed in every state and every county! Blessings and love to all of you!❤

For extra protection for your pool also get an alarm you put in the water to let you know when someone gets into the pool when its supposed to be off limits. Its an added layer of safety even when you have a fence thats locked around your pool. Just incase a child gets over the fence somehow. It helps save lives. I learned this from watching "The Smiths" on utube.

My granddaughter had asd_ atrial septal defect. It's a hole between her atriums. She was a premie also. She was lucky they were able to close her hole by catheterization. She was three. She has to go for a recheck every 5 years now until she is 50 years old. After that they stop worrying about it. When she is 17 she has to go see the cardiologist and at that appointment they explain the hows and whys of her surgery to her.

When I was younger, my family was very toxic, my older brother and mom abused me sometimes. The one time I told my school psychologist what my brother had been doing to me and my mom's refusal to protect me from him, she called CPS and a worker spoke to me in school the next day. The thing is, my abusive toxic mother was smart. She knew she was abusive so she made sure to fill my head with what she wanted. She would always tell me "foster homes are horrible" "you think you have it bad here, don't imagine foster care" or "the men will abuse you". So when I had the chance to tell the CPS worker, I didn't say anything because my mom made me think I would always be better off with her, and there's nothing better for me out there. So what ended up happening? I ran away to a grown man, 20 years older than me because at the time he seemed like the only escape from my mom and brother. Well that opened up another world of issues for the brain of a 15 year old girl. I haven't completely recovered but I can't keep blaming my past.
@janedee61262 жыл бұрын
I even turned my school psychologist away, Mrs. Fernandez the only adult who actually cared for my safety because my toxic mother got into my head and made her seem like the bad one. Now my nephews are living the same thing as my sister is another version of my mother. I tell my nephew to tell his therapist EVERYTHING but my sister has manipulated him to be afraid just like my mother did. My sister told me if anyone in our family calls CPS on her, I will never see my nephews again and I'm scared.. I wish kids who are in the situation I was, can see this beautiful family and see that there is better out there for them. I wish I had seen this when I was being harmed.

The charcuterie board is such an inspiration ❤️ if my husband allows me to come home again, I will definitely make that kind of snack board and I just have to boil some water for his 2-3 tea times during the day. What an effective and efficient way to provide the snack. Btw, I see every single lunch prep you make for your kids and now I remember which kid for what sandwich as well 😁 I tried Desjean’s sandwich preference and it’s truly delicious 😁 and of course my fave is Bodhie’s tomato ketchup sandwich. Ketchup will never do anyone wrong 😃

Our middle daughter was born with a congenital heart defect (HLHS). She turned 21 last month. I feel you… it was weird to change to an adult congenital cardiologist. Especially when I had to fill out paperwork so they could talk to me about her visits, tests, etc. I wasn’t ready for her to be an adult yet. It’s all good now.
