You two are too cute. I love how he blushes just talking about his wife. My husband is also a gamer/collector. I must say I have nothing to do with games. We are complete opposite's attract, but I love that he has his hobby and how excited he gets when he finds an awesome deal on a retro game. I wish you two the best! Game on!

Great video, it's always nice to meet someone or be involved with somebody that has the same passion as you do for collecting and playing video games. Also communication is a very big key issue in relationships and I struggle with that every day since being married almost 3 years. Also I always love to watch the videos they bring back such nostalgic memories from when I was a child. Driving every day to collect and know as much as I can about current and classic video games. And with your channel that's happening every day. Thanks and keep up the good work. 🎮🕹🖲🛡

Great video. My wife and I also have been married for 17 years with our 18th anniversary coming up next summer. It's great to have a spouse who will let you be who you are. It's always good to not go overboard with anything you are passionate about in such a way where your relationship will be put second. So the communication between 2 significant others is the key for sure.

I'm very happy to have a girl who also loves games and -even better- got me introduced to Zelda games and into collecting. We share the same passion, although I mostly collect and she plays the stuff I buy (but she can't keep up haha). We do conventions (buy, sell & trade), hunting (me at the fleamarket, she hunts online) and even cosplays together. Just 2,5 year together, but I have a feeling this is going to work out just fine. Hope to end up just as happy as you John!

First off your wife is beautiful :) this video is great! Your wife reminds me a lot of my own. She has said the same thing, that I collect for the both of us! Lol She's spent many a night listening to me babbling about certain games, and also me asking her if it's OK if I spend a certain amount on something. Long story short, you found yourself a keeper, and I hope this video will help other game collectors significant others understand that they aren't alone. Balance is key, but us collectors are a special kind of quirky. Thanks for sharing :)

Hello Mr. Immortal +johnhancock, this is my 3rd video watching of yours and now a fan. Thanks to finding you in +metaljesusrocks recent video about what would happen to your collection if (god forbid) you passed. I wish i could have kept all my past collections of nes and sega which i had in my youth as a 90's kid. Now i have kids and i have started collecting very few games which i loved and had. Now I'm sharing all those memories with my kids to they could enjoy them. I can relate to your gaming and relationship, however i will never be able to have a collection near as big as yours. I'm just happy to have seen a video such as this. Great advice!

Love the video John, Sarah seems rad. I'd like for my wife to watch this, because sometimes she gets overwhelmed since she doesn't have any other friends that are wives of hardcore collectors. She supports me, and 75% of the time doesn't give me too hard of a time about it, but she definitely does not have it in her DNA (good point Sarah Hancock), so it is sometimes bizarre for her to see me get so excited and bent out of shape over the things that I collect. Love the channel!

Although I am not a completionist, as I collect games mostly because of the ones I want to play as well as keep. And I do have multiple systems spanning from the Atari 2600, C64 all way to the Xbox 360 and PS3. All in all, keep up the good work man. And I always enjoy watching your videos.
