It's good to see you and the girls together again. You'll work out the food for the girls, getting information from Thai Mum's and combine that with advice from your Mum and you'll be good as gold. I think it's important for the twins to have Thai style food so they can be fed wherever you are. I'm a bit exited to hear you so positive about having them with you for longer times, it will all come together because you're putting in the "thinking and planning" time now. ❣👩‍❤‍👩

Mashed veggies are excellent and fruits like banana, blue berries, strawberries, mango. watermelon, and definitely yoghurt. Pretty sure your mum would agree. Cheers Lyn, yeah I'll go through it indepth with mum. Think mum recommended yogurt too but those dairy products are quite pricey here in comparison, so it'll be little tweaks like that

Hey mate - I'm from London but live in Chiang Mai, we've got a 6 month old, just started him on Cerelac, it's basically rice porridge with different fruit/veg/meat in it - seems a pretty common choice in Thailand, you can get it in Big C and Lotus for like 99 baht a box, and it's got a load of servings to a box. Once he's good on that I'm planning on starting to make him veggie soups and stuff, boil up some pumpkin and butternut squash, maybe a bit of chicken, then blend it to a thick paste and freeze it in batches etc

Yeah need to figure out that veggies. Got a tiny freezer but there's gotta be ready made options from the local market that Thais use for sure. I know to keep the spice away for now. The Cerelac is brilliant tho

Hi ❤, any root vegi is good to boil up n mash, can use their milk to add moisture or water. Then freeze in ice cube trays. At age 1 babies can just about eat anything we eat for dinner, just make sure it's blitzed if there is meat in the vegies or mashed well if its just vegies. Nutri bullets are good for blitzing. I wouldn't be using spicy food yet, but I do see Thai babies eating rice n curry etc, from a very early age whenever I'm in Thailand. A lot of busy parents just use baby pouches of yoghurt and baby food. Babies still thrive with shop bought baby food. Can also have mashed up watermelon, bananas, tinned fruit in natural juice , and cooked apples or pears. xxoo🙂

I am in Aus! Heaps on info online regarding starting solids but it is ALOT to take in.. i am more than happy to send you some info with how we did it. My bub is 8 months and we started at 4 months solids:) puree and did allergen introduction one at a time:) i had a list on the fridge to tick off! Now we are doing baby led weaning and she loves to eat:) there are tips and tricks to be efficient and also nutritious! You can take info from aus and appropriate it to suit thai life? Well done it is hard being a first time parent

One of mine skipped the puree stuff and went onto big lumpy food. The rough mashed with a fork stuff. Another had puree food then didnt want the lumpy stuff. Both those didnt have anything other than my milk till about 9 months old. And the oldest was born in Queensland when I was living in a caravan. He was getting mashed banana from 6 weeks. Shows that no 2 kids are the same.

I think thais start with rice soup. Then put carrots . Blend. Some chicken blended. Farang style would be mash patato + veg. ( Carots) + Chicken, blended. Also farangs would give them banana + orange juice + cereal. They love that at first. The patato not so much .

Hi Ricky. Hope all is well. I will take the vaccine for dengue when I get home to Sweden, where they say you should take 2 doses 3 months apart and then you have 5 years of protection thereafter. The vaccine agency in Sweden says that you should not take the vaccine if you have had dengue since it is a live vaccine that you inject and it is not clear how the vaccine works if you take it after having had dengue. Don't know if it's anything to worry about but just thought I'd give the info I got when I asked them. best regards Mathias

REMINDER: You created two children who are your responsibility, Your and Eid's mother are not going to be around forever to come to your rescue. Whatever your issues are, fight them! Boil a variety of foods, puree them in a blender and feed it to your babies. They need the nutrients from these foods. You can do it.
