You should have bought a village house with a wood stove outside of Kyiv. You could have a generator and solar so you wouldn't have to worry about power or heat. Add a couple goats and some chickens to keep the ice box full of cheese, eggs and some meat on occasion. Your kitchen garden can stock up your pantry. Maybe it's time to change your path in Ukraine. With starlink you can still upload anything you would need. Good luck Johnny

dude ukraine has been completely destroyed by this war. it's essentially a war-ravaged failed state with no economy and no people and the highest death rate and lowest birth rate in the world and entire fields filled with mines that will take hundreds of years to clear. they lost half of their population within the last decade, and the government wasn't even able to keep the light on properly in the summertime, so millions more are going to leave this winter due to the fact that it's simply impossible to sustain 25 million people with just 12-14 gigawatts of electricity. and the only reason they still have that is because vlad is very risk averse and has carefully managed the climb up the escalation ladder and hasn't yet made the decision to knock their last three remaining nuclear plants offline and bring their electrical capacity down to just 2-4 gigawatts. so instead of losing just a few million and ending up with like 20 million people after the winter, ukraine would end up with under 10 million since you just can't have more people than that with just a few gigawatts of electricity and have people freezing to death with no heat and no electricity and no running water and no working sewage system and no jobs and no economy. and if zelensky keeps playing tough and firing long-range missiles into russia, there is a very real risk of this happening, especially since zelensky ignored the warnings from the white house and broke the partial ceasefire over energy infrastructure that they had with the russians last winter and then blew up the secret talks in qatar back in august when zelensky made the foolish decision to launch that disastrous stunt into kursk. on top of this, ukraine defaulted on their debt in the late summer and narrowly avoided a total disaster by managing to negotiate something once the vultures from blackrock came knocking. but this is with nearly half a trillion dollars that we have pumped into ukraine in one form or another within the last two and a half years, and now democrats are even attempting to cancel like 4 billion dollars worth of the ukrainian debt since they can't pay. on top of this russia has sent a message with recent strikes on grain ships that have been sneaking into ukrainian waters by hugging the romanian coast, so the ability for ukraine to export grain is likely going to end soon, especially since they have had disputes with every neighboring country that attempted to help them including poland which zelensky filed world trade organization complaints against and gave speeches at the united nations that included childish petty threats of banning the import of polish tomatoes and onions as retaliation last year when he thought that he was still times magazine man of the year and on top of the world and that he was gonna get infinite cash forever and thought that he could pressure poland because they had the nerve to draw the line at allowing cheap low quality ukrainian grain to flood their market and destroy their farmers, which prompted the previous leader of poland to come out and describe dealing with zelensky and the ukrainian government as "like trying to help a drowning man that wants to take you down under with him".. and this couldn't come at a worst time, since they are about to lose the key strategic city of pokrovsk that has mine that produced almost all of the crucial coal that was needed for their steel industry which when combined with grain makes up a massive part of their economy that was barely holding together on life support even despite all of the cash pumped into them and them still having the grain and the steel exports to somewhat help them. imagine all of this next year as the amount of cash going to ukraine will decrease significantly and they will have lost probably close to another half of their population.. even if russia doesn't knock the nuclear plants offline and president trump manages to strike a deal beforehand, it still doesn't solve their problems with the nearly a trillion dollars worth of war damage and their terrible demographics and everything else. they will be left with just the old motherland-sympathizing grandmas from small villages and crippled and broken old veterans in their forties and fifties and nearly a hundred thousand war amputees and people with severe disabilities and issues that will require an insane amount of cash to sustain them, which is money that will not be there. especially since the educated people and anyone that was able to raise the 5 to 10 grand in bribes to get out has left for europe already, and none of those people are going to come back to a war-ravaged ukraine with no future that can't even keep the lights on and that is looking at decades worth of reconstruction. there's not gonna be anyone that will invest much of anything due to the lack of long-term security and credible path forward for any kind of proper recovery and the risk that this whole thing could pop off again in the future and that their investments will just be stolen if the left ever gets back into office and the russians exploit the whoever the next weak and spineless democrat might be in the white house and use that opportunity to grab another bite like they did under obama and under the current sleepy low energy administration. and if that happens, the next time around the russians won't make the same mistakes and will go in with enough overwhelming force to make any kind of resistance from the tiny and depleted remaining ukrainian military completely futile and will take over the entire thing in a matter of days like they had initially wanted. so yeah.. gotta be absolutely crazy to invest anything or purchase anything in ukraine right now. this war has already completely destroyed those poor people and wrecked their nation beyond repair. even best case scenario if president trump manages to work his legendary deal-making abilities and salvage as much as possible of what is left and get the russians to back off, that only buys the ukrainians certain peace until january of 2029. and you just need to look at what neocon demons like lindsey graham have in mind when they think about the future for ukraine.. their idea is a puppet state that will sign away the trillions worth of resources such as rare earth minerals that ukraine supposedly has and open the door for blackrock and american mining and energy companies to go in and exploit those and make nice profits. and even assuming that things go bad in russia economically for whatever reason and they aren't interested in going for another bite any time soon, that will still leave ukraine as essentially a subservient state that has no ability to sustain itself without tens of billions of dollars worth of handouts each year from brussels or more likely washington since europe is already demilitarized and deindustrialized and their economy is dying and they will already have enough problems to deal with internally and enough headaches with having to give handouts to germany as they go from being a net contributor to a net recipient of european union funds within the next decade, and that's assuming the european union hasn't fallen apart by then. so really ukraine has zero prospects of ever being able to stand on their own two feet again and will be either under the thumb of the united states or russia regardless of how this ends. and it will take generations to repair the damage that has been inflicted in terms of their infrastructure and their economy, and things like their environmental damage and their demographics will just never recover and go back to what they were. so given all of these problems, just why in the world would someone that has no wife and kids and that has enough cash and that has a western passport and the ability to earn a living without being confined to a specific area decide to settle down in some village in war-ravaged ukraine when everyone can see the writing on the wall and realize that there are no good happy positive things ahead in ukraine and that their story will be nothing but poverty and misery and extreme hardship? it just doesn't make sense.. even the ukrainians themselves are selling off what they can and doing everything in their power to leave, including even making a run for it and swimming across dangerous rivers with powerful currents and hiking across mountains and paying 10 grand for a spot in the back of a semi loaded with cows headed for poland and just anything that they can do to avoid being stuck there for what is about to come.. everyone that is able to leave has already left or is planning their escape. so why would a foreigner with zero obligations towards ukraine and nothing holding him down decide to stick around for the terrible times ahead? he can buy that nice rural property somewhere in the united states or canada and live a nice safe and peaceful life.. even mexico if he wants a cheaper option where he can live like a king with a western income. or at least the united kingdom if he really wants the european vibes and if they finally smarten up and embrace their brexit and realize that their only realistic option is siding with north america as opposed to europe that is a doomed continent that will see massive decline moving forward due to how the world is changing.

Let’s be honest, living in Ukraine is damn hard now in all aspects. You have been here with us all the time. So obviously all the stress and worrying affected you as much as everyone else. People who have the option to leave are lucky and should use this opportunity at least for a while. Nobody should live like this for years. It’s life-draining and soul-crushing, to be honest. Even if I don’t have such an opportunity, I’m extremely happy for others who do. So please, don't feel bad.

I can't get over the film quality of the phone......another note, totally get what your Mom is saying....Not sure I would stay if I was in that position. And final note: I was a certified teacher back in the day. My first year take home pay was $1300 a month, cheap rent was $750, used car $250, food, clothes, supplies, entertainment, car up keep, insurance, utilities, continuing ed, pets......and technically you had to live in the town. The town was becoming a boutique mtn town with move ins everywhere and rents and costs skyrocketing, so they waived that rule. Anyway, I saw many dedicated and smart teachers, I always felt they should be able to live "normally" but when one sees a friend making one's entire salary in one or two deals, one tends to pivot to make living "normally" a reality.

The Pennsylvania mine owners around the turn of the 20th century were giving up on the Irish who they had used as miners up to that point. They felt the Irish drank too much and were not really good workers. The mine owners sent representative to Poland and Ukraine to recruit workers. Ramping up new production of the Russian version of the ATACAMS missile. The effect will be for the next war, but not for this one. It takes too long to finish production. That is why there is a saying: "you come to war with the military weapons you have..."

So, what is your perspective, Johnny? Do you believe that Britain and America should allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russia, and do you accept the implications of this?

Hey Johnny. Could you tell us more about prices on food in Ukraine? 🥹

Ukraine grows and produces most of their own food, so it's quite affordable.

Himars, stop spreading misinformation AGAIN. I've spent two winters in Ukraine: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mX29lZ54grmkrMk

@ Hey Johnny, First off, can you remind me when I spread misinformation about you? I just asked why you didn’t want to donate your Porsche Cayenne. But you’re the one spreading false info by saying that this side is poorer, which isn’t true. No worries, though. I get that you’re not living on the left bank in Kyiv and might not know everything, especially since you’ve only been here for five years. I started watching you about a year ago, and I remember last winter when you went to Thailand. It made me think you weren’t in Kyiv during the winter. But I checked your Instagram, and I see you actually spent winter in Kyiv, so I admit I was wrong about that. I wasn’t trying to spread lies; I just thought you went to Thailand every winter because you didn’t like the cold. No need to get all defensive, man. I made a mistake, and it happens. You also messed up by saying that side is poorer. What matters is recognizing our mistakes and not getting aggressive.

Ukraine isnowon the Western map like never before, thanks to the silly man in the kremlin. He is achieving the exact opposite of what he intended and wanted. Ukraine belongs more in Europe now than ever. Many of us love the country now. Before 2022 we didn't know, a thing about it.

I'm glad the turmoil in the US isn't going to affect you. Retail Federation here says 90% of industries that depend on imported parts are already raising prices on their products. As the parent of a transgender son and two humans with wombs, I'm a little more worried about their autonomy and safety than the price of eggs or anyone's portfolio. I'm worried about the workers who serve and labor for the wealthy and their welfare when those loose regulations affect worker rights. And I'm worried about what will happen to the people in Ukraine when Trump magically works out his deal that ends the war. Because it's not going to be good for Ukrainians. You know that. I hope for your safety, everyone in Ukraine.

They charge for tourists so they can afford repairs. Congregation going to service don't get charged. It's common in all large cathedrals in Europe that have big repair bills.

Hey Johnny, in or no war, winter time would be extremely difficult to not feel depressed. Its what winter is. Thanks for your continued support of Ukraine and for good measure. For good mental state of mind your decision to leave to travel to another place is necessary. You always provide entertaining travel vlogs of your adventures! The hassle of travelling out of Ukraine is the most challenging part. Its the way someone has dictated it. Cheers.

I for one enjoy watching you travel on a train and meeting new people. I think you bring more to table when you’re not in Ukraine and talk about it . Seems like you’re not with a lot of your friends . It’s not that you have to be physically there … It’s just a plane ticket change it … Is it really worth making your Mom Worry even one day … Your breaking her heart on a daily bases…. Let’s go !!! The church is Beautiful .🙏🏻
