You guys didn't catch the part that the actual Terrorist guy was one of those 3 "local goons" that the cop in the earlier episode had picked up, and Srikanth dismissed it because of lack of evidence & he sensed the cop was prejudiced since they were Muslims. It's also meant to be purposefully ironical that the "idiot" cop's 0 effort hunch was actually right, while Sri with all the resources of TASC at his disposal made a big mess of the whole situation by basically killing an innocent.

Compressing a whole 100years build up to 1857 and the sepoy mutiny to just "cow and pig fat cartridges" is a huge disservice to our history. Indian sepoys cldnt get promoted, lived in outside barracks and were discriminated. New cartridges shipped from England was just one of the hundred reasons that made Mangal pandey fire the first shot. Marathas had been defeated by England in 1826 and since then an armed revolution by other indian rulers was imminent.

Hindu value system makes Hindu treat Cow as a Mother since we drink her milk. So to kill nd eat her is akin to Cannibalisms for practicing Hindus. So to see a cow killed can be deeply personal for a practicing hindu. Like killing a member of your own family, so it will be avenged. Like when Sri stops the school from being demolished he didn't plan it, it just happened. Or when his family is having a party and someone calls him brother, he IS his brother. @@spilltea4241 I'm not justifying anything. You have to look at what context they had at the time of the incident. A terrorist attack was planned and a bomb squad guy was martyred in that. They find out about a drop box, they find someone is using that drop box and he has been involved in some other suspicious activities as well according to the local police. They are planning an attack of sorts, which Sri doesn't know is just about beef. When these guys are stopped, one of them pulls a gun and starts firing. I mean, what do you expect at this stage. And again I don't think I even mentioned killing a person in my comment, let alone justifying it. I was just adding some context from an Indian perspective. FYI, I'm not religious at all and would try beef when I can legally. I don't condone any of these religious cults forcing people to live according to their rules.

The beef thing is very difficult to explain. Very miniscule number of people actually care who eats what, and in many states Hindus eat beef. The meat related stigma in India is basically by few upper castes. But they are vocal and they are at every position of power and the narrative hence moves from there. The beef wouldn't EVER be problem in India, but it is only because beef has vested interest in politics of India. The right wing, the ruling party uses beef to dehumanise and demonise Muslims, that anti Muslim sentiment is then used to move voters, and make upper castes and lower castes to come together against Muslims and vote for right wing party which is the ruling govt currently. So it's like what Hitler did with jews. It's like hanging bells on the cat. Muslims are used as scapegoat. You wouldn't believe that these beef related mob lynchings has skyrocketed since last 8 years of this government. And many elected members of this govt have openly taken stand for these murderers. They have called upon a man who killed a Muslim man for beef rumour in his house, the killer was then garlanded (a symbol of being victorious) by an elected member.
