Bro you can't bring electrical engineering under this umbrella of electronics engineering, These jobs are one subset of Electrical engineering. Today there is a huge scope for electrical engineering in subjects of Power Electronics, Control System, Machines : Electrical Drives, Then also a very high market boom in Renewable Energy side. So power system + power electronics combo is also booming. Soon I will going to start a KZbin channel, as so called TECH KINGS are not talking about the real stuffs!

Whats the point to study at premier institutes like BITS if you don't know job requirements? For VLSI domain ,some roles doesn't have much prerequisite like verification-for which they expect you to know only digital electronics and verilog/vhdl etc. But there are some roles in analog domain which requires deep knowledge of subject. So don't say it is easy. Only drawback of VLSI is that the softwares are very costly so a student can't afford it. So he/she can only practice at college or training institute, that too on education version of software.

I personally think this way... Branch>college.. college is just gonna give you a headstart in your first and second job, after that your skills and work experience is what matters... College tag(other than the premium ones) is just for 4-5 years but your branch is for a life time...And just in case if your really *passionate* of what you want to do then that's a whole different story, branch and college don't matter in that case
