I once read an interview with lifehouse and in it jason Wade said that he wrote his lyrics (for all songs) in an ambigious way so that whoever is listening can take whatever it is they need, or simply whatever they hear from the song. As for me, I'm a christian and sometimes it is God that I think of with this song. sumtimes I think of my ex bf who was there for me in one of the toughest times of my life. Either way I'm happy. I just love this song. I don't know what it is, I just...love it. x

I love this song especially at the begging it brings back all the story's about when I was in a storm when I'd walk home from school as a kid. There were not very many nice times at my home,and to me this is not personal. My mom and dad used to always fight and argue. Soon my mom died because she had a car accident. It's sad because I Would tell her I don't love her because she started to fight. I was very young then and If only I could turn back the clock just to say I love her.

This song is so... sad. Personally, I don't feel the God-appeal in it, but it still makes my heart clench, with the way he's completely lost, and then finds someone to help him "walk on water". It's no alien feeling to me, the feeling of being lost in the world, and the be pulled back on your feet. It's a very beautiful song.
