a very boring day of living in my car

This video is kinda boring and not much happens. I shower at planet fitness, go grocery shopping, drive from seattle area to olympic beach area for sunset. I sleep on some dirt road.

Definitely idealized. Once you spend a few winters in the PNW in your vehicle the reality is clear and you either love it or you don't...after 7years in my van I upgraded (cause side-graded's not a thang yet) to a sailboat - we're not bothered as much on the hook (anchored to those land-lubber out there). But now I have an Element too for me overland adventures.

why dont you isolate the car for winter ? , super easy and you will enjoy from it , every plastic in removable , remove it add isolation and click back the plastic trim . you will save a couple degree :)

@rosa wear only one contact and switch back and forth over time. My vision went from -4.50 to -2.25 Eyes are muscles and the one without a contact will get stronger trying to match the eye with a contact

Have you considered LASIK? My daughter had terrible vision since elementary school. However, she would rock some amazing glasses. 6 months ago she got LASIK. Best decision ever. I’ll be getting LASIK next month. Thrilled I found a few videos I missed. I love the views, food and your attitude.❤❤❤

Fun fact (not really) I work at an optometrist office and some people get blurry vision again after LASIK. I've had people need glasses after about 10 years of surgery. It varies and it's a low prescription but it happens.

I am curious.. what is your fuel economy and what is your maintenance schedule? How many miles do you have on that Element and has it been reliable?

I average 25mpg (all depends on how I drive). My Element has around 240,000 miles on it currently. It's been extremely reliable. My biggest fix was my cadilytic converter getting stolen but insurance covered that. Last November I also spent about $1000 on rear suspension fixes. And recently I spent $400 on two new tires and alignment. And then just regular oil changes and such as needed. It's a very basic car so repairs are not too bad. ❤️

In Australia, at least in my experience, if you use your phone while using a petrol/gas station they won't turn it on for you. Because using phone and filling up is illegal here. And I've never seen buttons! How fascinating!

about waking up and being able to just see: I've had pretty bad myopia most of my life and couldn't use contacts because they irritated my eyes (I also found it too much of a hassle and too much of a risk of infection), so I finally got Lasik last year and it was the best thing ever 😂 thankfully my health insurance here in Brazil covered everything (since my eyesight was so bad) but I think it is really worth it even paying out of pocket (it's not really expensive here, I dunno how costly it is in the states)...
