I use my phone camera a lot--taking pictures of slides during talks so I can reference them later in my note taking has been such a help. Love all these tips!

Great tips for looking for actionable steps! So good to keep our thoughts organized for those of us who are easily distracted and get carried away by fun new ideas.

We are doing to a conference in November as that’s summer for us!!! My husband is more excited than us. We always scope out eating options I already know we may not have American vendors so we are going to look into our Australian studies as we use American curriculum forms lot of other subjects. We will have tons of notes!!!

Another great idea is to print our some Avery address labels with your contact info to put on all the giveaway drawing forms. Slap one on the form instead of filling them out by hand.

Thank you for this video! My husband and I went to our first convention when my son was in kindergarten about 4 years ago. We were so overwhelmed which curriculums (and/or teaching philosophy) to choose as every vender had a polished spill about why theirs is the best. 😊🤷♀️ This will be our second time around (we are not one of those that can go every year) and feel like I have a little more exposure and experience under my belt to hopefully not be quite so overwhelmed. I have never commented on here before (because prior to this year I was logged in under my husand’s utube account and also short of time to do much beyond listen while busy doing housework late at night). Anyways, your videos have been so helpful and I especially have been following your journey with dyslexia as I think my son is dyxlesic and has been so frustrating and difficult seeing him struggle to read and learn math too for that matter. I took the plunge last year with all about reading and he has been making excellent progress! (he is probably more moderate to mild) My husband and I are attending the teach them diligently conference in Pigeon Forge this spring too, so just might see you there. 😊

Yes, the first time conference overwhelm is very common. That’s so exciting that you will be at TTD hope I can see you there!

I would LOVE to go to a homeschool convention or a homeschool conference but as homeschool friendly as my state is, there is NOTHING near here. 🤦🏽♀️
