Doesn't it seem ridiculous that free shipping isn't included on a machine that costs $600? And that I have to use a referral code, which should apply to the price of the machine, to remove the 13.99 shipping fee? This is obviously not your fault as a content creator/affiliate, but the "referral" link implies a discount on the product in my mind. It really discourages me from buying through a link when I could go the Target route with $60 off with their credit card, or Amazon route with $100 off. I'm not sure if this hurts your sales opportunities in the long run, but it definitely made me look at other methods of purchase. Is this the intended arrangement with Vitamix? Or maybe this is feedback they need to hear?

How to fix (or avoid) too dry Cashew Queso. Add more almond milk. (Cashew Queso is a very forgiving and modifiable recipe.) Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of almond milk depending on amount needed to make it flow like Cheese Wiz or like Velveta. Add it in either during the process if an air pocket develops (Air pocket usually means the mix gone dry during mixing.) OR pulse blend it in after the blend cycle has finished. Water will work too, but will dilute the mix a little bit. Mix in a tablespoon at a time if using water to remoisten too dry Cashew Queso.

I think you forgot how thermodynamics work. if you ran the blender with the metal container the same time as the plastic container, the heat generated is the same. The container got hot coz the heat from the soup transferred into it. So technically the soup is hotter in the plastic container while some of that heat gets transferred to the metal one cooling down the soup. The reason your soup over cooked is probably something else.

I think the motor transfers heat better to this than than the plastic.

I love this container, but oddly it trips my circuit breaker about 25% of the time when making my daily smoothies. Never happens when I use the larger plastic container that came with my A3500. Weird.

Love your review, especially how you appreciate the imperfections and the sounds it makes. I think we could be friends :-) I have an old 3600 that was modified to use the modern containers and this would be the perfect match and look really cool. But where you really had me was with the malt shop reference! I used to have an old malt maker with the stainless cup and now I’m really craving an old fashioned vanilla malt! And I’ve never tried making ice cream in mine, but I think today’s the day! I’m a minimalist like you, but may not be able to resist ;-) Do you miss not being able to see the blending in action?

PS: can you recommend a good vanilla ice cream recipe? And a vegan version?

Thank you, I'm interested... maybe. I have a couple of questions. First, do you think the SS would get "dinged" up like a thinner stainless would? And also do you know if it's 18/10 stainless? Thanks!
@delanea4 жыл бұрын
It is 304 stainless. As with all stainless, it can get dinged up but it shouldn’t happen with normal use. As stated in the video, this grade of stainless will not leach with acidic foods (at least not at these temperatures), and it will last forever with proper care. Be sure to dry thoroughly after cleaning as even stainless steel can rust with continual water exposure.

Looks Great!! 👌 Or I should say “it’s cute” like your son says!! 😊 When would it be available to purchase? I just ordered the 48 ounce clear container but now you got me thinking!! 🤔

I wish there was also a metal tamper. My plastic one has a hole in it

Its like they realized that stainless steel is better than plastic and then when they were making the lid they forgot about that my blenders plastic lid is disintegrating which is why i'm searching for a new blender and none have metal tops other than a 1600 dollar one I found

So this works with the smart sensing system of the A3500?
@user-et3kk4tn4s4 жыл бұрын
Looking to purchase the a3500 in the next couple of days. I liked the idea of the smart detect containers, but the stainless doesn't have that. I guess my question is does it make sense to have this container with that machine? Or maybe my idea of what smart detect does isn't really worth it, if this container is that great? Any help would be appreciated.

My first impression would be being short changed when they haven't given you a stainless steel lid and you still have the plastic top. So for people wanting to move away from plastic why would they spend that money in one when they haven't even been given a stainless steel lid, unless of course the latest glass?

I wonder though how long that printing on the inside of the steel jug will survive? What is the printing made of for that matter? Will that jug make literal alphabet soup?
@LINY4 жыл бұрын
if people are getting alphabet soup instead of fancy tomato, they should have your back with the warranty, and update the product ASAP

So are u saying that the blade on the steel container isn’t the same blade as the plastic wet containers?

Same blade on the Stainless Steel as the 48 oz plastic wet
@violettraine10294 жыл бұрын
@@LINY Thank u for replying I really appreciate it! I really would like to get the SS container since its the only container Vitamix carries that isn’t nasty plastic, but I also really need a dry blade but of course Vitamix doesn’t sell the dry blade in the SS container. I would like to grind my own flours for breads & baking. So do u think there is a big difference between the wet & dry?
