Nice video, I have been following Vitamix blenders sine the 70s, back then they only came with a metal container. I love my 5200.

I love my stainless steel container! I use turmeric in my smoothies and no lingering odor or stain. Cleans up real easy too. Looks beautiful on my A3500.

Thank you for this video. Costco is currently having a member's only price which ends on the 23rd so I will be going there the week. Since buying my VitaMix several years ago, I have been hoping for a glass or stainless steel bowl. So glad to see this!!! (My eldest so is having extensive (and painful) dental work in a couple of weeks - I bought him a VitaMix Series C 6500 yesterday.)

Got a A3500 for X-mas and already went down the Vitamix accessories rabbit hole. Already purchased the stainless steel container, food processor, blending cup and bowl kit, aerator blender, and extra food processor blades with processor lid for fridge. The Stainless steel container was perfect when we blended our cooked red chile pods for making our red sauce for tamales. I didn't know the Stainless was dishwasher safe? Thank you.

I just bought the v1200 using the link from your site. Thank you, your videos were very helpful and I feel like it was a good entry point into the Vitamix world with a great discount using your January promo code. I expect that a 48 oz pitcher will be my next purchase so this seems like a good option but I was wondering if the stainless is double-wall insulated.

I don't think it's double wall insulated. I hope you're enjoying your V1200!

I purchased the stainless steel contain and have one concern before deciding it I will return it or not. How durable is the plastic lid? Wish it was made of rubber instead of plastic. the lid does have a small rubber seal inside but my worry is the plastic lid tabs will break over time, as the tabs need to be bent outwards to remove the lid. With only a 3-year warranty I wonder how long it will be before I need to purchase a new lid. From past experience I found replacement parts to be pricy. I had hoped my rubber lid from another container would fit, but unfortunately, it is too small. The price of the container is pricey and but my excitement over the durability of the metal container was diminished by the questionable durability of the lid-- and the warranty.

We just got ours today, i wish vitamix has made this 6 years ago when we got our blender. We have 3 plastic containers, never was a fan of the polycarbonate. I hope vitamix makes a 64 oz wide bottom SS container was well.

Although, I don't have a lot of confidence in spot welds as over time they often break off . It looks like it's just a few spot welds holding the handle on. The other thing, many people such as me want to avoid plastics for the potential of chemical residue and micro plastic flakes of plastics coming off especially when grinding harder foods such as nuts, ice etc. But with what-looks-like a hard plastic lid I can see microplastics being scraped off as the hard plastic lid is compressed into the container. Although, I don't know if their black softer silicon-feeling lid would fit on the stainless steel container. The downside of these lids though would be that you wouldn't be able to see inside as it is blending.

At the rate these blenders are spinning, the glass would shatter unless it is really thick or something. But I wonder if constant heating up and cooling down would cause the stainless steel one to expand and contract and eventually start leaking.

If you put the jar in the dishwasher does it melt the seal? I don't put any Vitamix jar in the dishwasher because I don't think that it's going to last that long if I do that cuz it will melt and eat up the seal.
@BlenderBabes
@BlenderBabes 2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean the seal of the blade and jar? I Haven’t had any problems myself to date... Only a few of the VITAMIX series have jars that are allowed to go in the dishwasher. And even then it’s recommended only every once in awhile but to hand wash most of the time. Hope that helps!

That's so strange, what models do you have? In the user manual on the Ascent 3500 Blender and food processor we put almost all the parts in top rack of dishwasher as long as it's not on a high heat cycle. Our manuals specify that. Everythings been fine for about 4 years. (I currently have the plastic ones.) Was thinking about the SS, since I went to college for dietetics and medicine so its just helpful to have lots of extra tools to help with making special meals/ food that'd be great

nobody tells you the stainless steel container is not compatible with 3500i and alle European brands, what a disaster, I had to call Vitamix for this information. The company's claim about the "dangers" of glass seems a bit of a reach. Kitchen Aid uses glass and the added weight provides more **stability** and therefore safety. Seems there's something else at play and I suspect its related to cost or time in some way, possibly the engineering and testing of glass which maybe they're too lazy to conduct??? 🤔 Also, certainty on the healthiness and **Quality** level of the stainless steel might be a question.
