I'm a 35 year old man and almost burst into tears at the ending of episode 3. That gut punch cuts deep. I also love how you can tell something is gonna be wrong with someone. oh and the MUSIC in this game is pretty much a character on it's own. I really hope we get to see Max and Chloe again. in video game form. I know they got a nod in LiS2...but I would love an "adventures of" game for them. Thank you to all the devs who put so much time and love into the original and remaster of both games! and to the other games as well!

The game is made by dontnod. Deck nine made BTS, which is also partially buggy but a lot less so. I might even call that one an actual improvement.

I honestly hope that somewhere down the line we see them in another LIS game in some compacity. Yes I know we saw them in a picture in LIS2 but why not make their return helping a character with something special about themselves. We saw them bring back Steph Gingrich in True Colors so maybe we could bring someone back to reprise their role. In my playthrough of the remaster I honestly kind of felt a connection with Kate, and she could make a return in a future Life is Strange game and her role is just as big as her role in the first Life is Strange game. maybe they could develop like some sort of DLC for the remaster where there is a Timelapse of a couple days or even a month and we see how Max is doing since Chloe’s funeral, and we see her and Kate together enjoying themselves. PS: Sorry for such a long comment, but I think I may have a good idea if Deck Nine and Square Enid are willing to listen to mother idea I have.

i miss some of the old textures because it gave something special and artistic to the look of the game. Not everything needs to be hyper realistic and polished. Some rough textures added also the vibe of a story related to art...not anymore. Though I appreciate that the characters actually blink often and move the mouth instead of keeping it slightly open...

In this day and age, where every developer starts shitting out shitty remakes of great Games, i really hope this one will be a great exception on the market. By how the crew talks about the game and the characters in it, you can feel that they indeed have a connection to the game, which is more then necessary in order to maintain the beauty and soul of this masterpiece. Certainly it was a tough task. Nevertheless, i''m confident that i will love the game, once again and that is something i don't say easily. Keep up the good work! =)

But in fact, they just port android version back to pc and consoles with all crippled effects and splitted levels, but upscaled textures and remodeled characters, which looks questionable at times. The only good about this "remaster" is lip-sync by real actors. But does it worth it? Ah, and not to forget, the release is full of bugs.

Honestly, few other games had such an amazing impact on my life than the Life is Strange games and especially the first one. Just seeing that they truly care about their game and releasing a remastered collection of an already wonderful game makes me unbelievably happy. I hope this version will attract new players as well to enter the Life is Strange world with all its facets. Huge compliment to the whole LiS team and thank you for making this :)

These "remasters" look really bad in some situations and have a lot of bugs and glitches that the original versions didn't. If you don't believe me, go check the reviews on Steam and you'll see what I mean. I'm sorry but this feels like a souless cashgrab coming directly from Square Enix themselves, so I don't blame any of the devs for this failure. Not to say the price is way to high for what you get here. To be a proper remaster, this project should have stayed more time in development. If you love these "remasters" good for you but I believe that this franchise deserved way better... I'll stick to the originals.

Dude, I totally agree with you. I played this game for the very first time in 2018 and I was very young then. But even then I liked the game, although there were some prejudices. I didn’t understand a lot then and at a more adult age I wanted to retake it. I was surprised that a remaster was created for this wonderful game. I first downloaded it and ran it. But I immediately noticed a lot of shortcomings, all sorts of bugs with shadows, textures and the like. I decided to download the original and I can say with confidence that this remaster is clearly not better than the original, and in some ways even inferior to it. I'm not saying it's terrible, but this game deserves more. I passed it and was very pleased. I have not experienced such emotions from video games for a long time, maybe this is even the best that I have played in this kind. The story of Max and Chloe really sunk into my soul. I hope the developers make the remaster better. I am sure that someday I will replay this wonderful game again and hopefully by then everything will be fine.

Idk if they will see this but i wanna thank you so much. I love love love life is strange univers. LIS1, BTS, LIS2 AND LIS TC. I LOVED EVERY ONE OF THEM. This team works so hard and so much to bring these games in real world and I'm so thankful. LIS games are my comfort games. Soundtracks, art, music, colors, style. Every person who works at DontNod/DeckNine are so talented it's amazing. Life is strange opened my mind about games and new music and i wanna thank them. Love the inspiration and the words and the efforts. The remaster looks fine. I wouldn't say it's good or perfect since it does look good in some parts and in others it looks meh. I hope the final product is good as from all the clips you shown. They were really different at some clips. And the fact you are making us buy both games again is kinda lame instead a cheap upgrade. 5 or 10 bucks like others companies have done. I won't assume everything since it isn't released. But from what i have seen this could have been more. But i get you focused more on "lip sync, facial animations, expressions" and all. All the best to the team and hope to a new LiS game in the next few years!

I really appreciate behind the scenes stuff, so first of all, thanks for these! One side of me feels disappointed because, if only the face animation was tweaked but not the body animation, this means we can't have a proper photo mode because, in the original LiS, when in some scenes character models are offscreen they jump places, so if it did not get full motion then we can't see them jumping, which is why a free camera isn't allowed in all scenes. Another side of me is still very excited to replay this game though, because none of my favorite scenes were shown in the previews, I do need to play and see it for myself! This being said, thanks for all the hard work improving LiS!

I am glad, I waited for Remastered Collection for 7 years. Finished True Colors a week ago, it was perfect. Except ending was to quick. Spoiler: We got an enemy and we just talked to him after he hurted us so bad, it isn't satisfying enough. And I wish we had watched Alex's concert too with people reactions instead of end credit.

I have a lot of love for the games and the remasters, but - having played them chronologically (BTS, then LIS) I was a bit surprised how much worse the facial animations and models look in LIS compared to BTS, especially since facial capture was used this time. I'm glad I played it again and would love to only have positive things to say, but I did expect a bit more from the LIS remaster tbh. It makes sense they say that they didn't wanna change the foundation of the game, but to at least make it look as good as BTS wouldn't be such a stretch I think.
