I live a 10 minute walk away from Highcliffe castle, in the pandemic gaining access to the beach was a life saver, as sitting on the beach helped clear the mind and help with the struggles of the time, a great Beach and definitely worth a visit.

I lived in Bournemouth for over forty years but now live in South East Asia. The point is this….Bournemouth may not be the same place as in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s….but are people aware that living there is preferable to most places in the country? Sure, shops are closing and there is a drug issue in the town - mainly because addicts come to Bournemouth for treatment or they just fancy being in a nicer place. I too had moans and groans when I lived there, but on balance…it is a good place to live. For a visitor, it is a fantastic place because you will sample all the good parts, don’t let grumpy old residents put you off going there….you will have great time in Bournemouth and the surrounding area.

Didn't think Britian had such good beaches, till I came to this video after seeing other beach vids. From of all the stories I have heard from the British tourists here saying there isn't really a great beach in England. I guess they haven't heard or been to this one. Looks so much like the ones we have here in the States, especially Florida where we have many, many beaches that stretch miles and miles.
@LifeOfReillyTV4 ай бұрын
Yes, we put down our beaches a LOT!!! What Brits really mean is, “we wish we had the hot weather to enjoy our beaches!!” 😂😂 We do have some stoney beaches but some beautiful ones too, especially in Devon and Cornwall!

@@LifeOfReillyTV Sure get plenty of both heat-n-humidty here daily with temps 90° - 93°F (32°C - 34°C), along with the warm ocean with water temps 28°C - 35°C. One area near Key Largo the water reached 38°C last year.

Really a great video - thank you. We (two adults and two kids at 8 and 13 year) are going om holiday on tuesday the 19’th of july and are planning to travel along the coast of South England for 7-10 days. What is your opinion about bringing our two dogs? Is it possible to find places to overnight, and what is the attitude around dogs in general in UK? Best regards from a Danish family 😊
@LifeOfReillyTV2 жыл бұрын
Hi Henrik, great to hear from you in Denmark! You’ve picked a good week as there is such good weather forecast! The dogs will be fine. Lots of Brits have dogs - quite a few pubs encourage dog owners and offer water and ice-cream for them! You wouldn’t be allowed to take them into most normal restaurants. As with staying overnight - I’m not an expert on this but if you want water/sewage to a motorhome, you’ll need to book a campsite that allows motorhomes. That should be a Google search for you. You might want to book ahead as it’s nearly the summer holidays for school kids. I’m sure there are some places you can sleepover but there are signs in some places where you can’t. You might want to research that part in more detail. Have a fun trip!! 😎👍
@henrikbusch9392 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot for your answer. We decided to let the dogs stay home, since the temperature is so increadibilly high, and we would be afraid of leaving them in the car if we were going in somewhere that did’nt allow dogs. Instead we are now having some wonderfull days in Bournemouth, before we are leaving for the Dartmore Nationalpark either tomorrow or thursday. We wish you a great summer and once more thanks for your inspiring videos and help.

As a resident of Bournemouth, the town center has become a no go zone for me, and where you show, go in the evening, it just reeks of cannabis reguarly. The town center is full of empty shops and fake beggers. I used to enjoy going to Bournemouth on a Saturday night, but there are so many drugged up people looking for a fight, i just stay away. Would I bring a young family to Bournemouth on holiday - hmm, ok it has nice beaches, but I prefer the beaches further east, quite, safe and no crime. I like the Bournemouth area for the New Forest, but the town and the beach, sadly, are no longer for me. Also if you do live here as a resident, you start paying the council tax and seeing where that money is being wasted, its outrageous.
