Great philosophy Smokey. Resonates with me as I'm sure it does with your viewers... It's about motorcycles after all. Something I'd like to suggest... Try a heat gun for this job. I think it will lossen the adhesive much better and as such would be less likely to pull the finish underneath it off with the wrap. Cheers everyone.

Smokey, I absolutely agree with you, I'd love to get paid to do something that I absolutely love. I absolutely enjoy your videos, I like the fact you're not a fake person. I tend to turn to your videos because I want an unbiased opinion on a bike or product. I would like to know though, if you think the 1290 would be a solid choice for a road adventure bike to run across continents; meaning mostly highway/autobahn, and then trails?

For more road I would go for the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S as the suspension is way softer. It's mostly the same bike apart from the wheels. I have seen people throw a 70-30 tire on a SAS and take it offroad just like a SAR would do 😁

Please reconsider embracing Chinese brands and also Western products that are outsourced to China. We in the West are funding the goals of the Chinese Communist Party when we buy products made there and it's not going to end well for us. We might find ourselves tempted to save money and buy a Chinese-made product, but please consider the consequences of such a purchase. Not only does it enrich a blatantly adversarial country, it deprives Europe or Japan of the benefits of the sale. Also, it was Europe and Japan who developed and continue to develop great bikes for us to enjoy while the Chinese simply copy Western products (often poorly). If China were on a path towards freedom and democracy, I would have no issue with the presence of their products in our markets. However, this is not the case. At some point, we must make a decision and deep down, westerners know how wrong it is to enrich China in its current form, so please reconsider promoting those products. We are not saving money by purchasing cheaper Chinese products, because in the end, it is going to cost us DEARLY. So please, do the right thing as it relates to buying Chinese products. Ride safe, but please ride smart, my friends.
