This was a beautiful story. Touched my soul. I was wealthy, then homeless due to terrible situations. And no matter what, i never wanted to see anyone struggle or feel the void i had in my soul. I would give my last. It felt so good to help others, it felt natural even though i had nothing. Im doing better now and i still have a long way to go. But it's true. Helping others is how we help ourselves. I actually dream of being able to do this for others. Thank you for sharing such a positive message during somewhat negative times. Sorry so long...

That was so heartwarming!! As an ex drug user, I was homeless and lived on the streets. It was horrible. I was the lowest I'd ever been. I remember laying on the concrete behind a supermarket one night, hungry, exhausted,and alone, praying to God to please show me a better way or to just let me go to sleep and never wake up. I wanted to die because I knew I'd hit rock bottom and my family and friends had given up on me because I'd relapsed so many times and burned all my bridges. I closed my eyes, fell asleep,and was awakened to the sweetest voice and a face looking down at me with the most gentle,loving eyes I'd ever seen. That woman turned out to be the angel that saved me. To make a long story shorter,she took me in to a drug rehab that she worked for,and encouraged me every step of the way. After my treatment was over,she got me into a sober living facility and was my support when I felt weak and like using again. She was my savior. I'm now 8 years clean and have a job and my own home. Her kindness saved my life. Always help others. It IS what helps us help ourselves. God bless and love to you all! Never give up hope for a brighter tomorrow no matter how bad things may be!

Giving to the needy (even if it's very little amount) is one of the characteristics of a believer (M'umin). Therefore, the person who does not give alms must understand that Kufr/disbelieve has prevailed over him 74:42 "What has led you into Saqar?" (A Fire that lets not live and lets not die. Fire of Regret (74:28)) 74:43 They will reply, "We were not of the Musalleen." 74:44 "Neither did we feed the hungry, nor did we take part in helping those who had lost their jobs, those whose businesses had stalled, and those whose hard-earned income was insufficient to meet their basic needs." 74:45 "And we were among those who used to say what they did not do." 74:46 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment and that the Divine System will eventually prevail" (And that Allah's Law of Requital is totally unbiased and makes no exceptions Have you seen the one who calls the religion [of truth (Islam)] a lie by denying the Day of Judgment? That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness, and does not encourage the feeding of the poor. So woe unto those performers of Salat, who are unmindful of their prayers, those (hypocrites) who do good deeds only to be seen (of men), and refuse small kindnesses (e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.)." Sura Al-Maun (small kindness), Al-Quran, chapter 107 69:30 [ ALLAH will say], "Seize him and shackle him 69:31 Then into Hellfire drive him 69:32 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 69:33 Indeed, he did not used to believe in ALLAH , the Most Great 69:34 Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor 69:35 So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend 36:47. And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which ALLAH has provided you," those disbelievers say to Muslims: "Shall we feed those (poor, destitute) whom, if ALLAH willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 36:48. And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 49. They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 36:52. They will say: "Woe to us! Who has raised us up from our place of sleep." (It will be said to them): "This is what the Most Beneficent (ALLAH) had promised, and the Messengers spoke truth!" 36:53. It will be but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), so behold! They will all be brought up before Us! 36:54. This Day (Day of Resurrection), none will be wronged in anything, nor will you be requited anything except that which you used to do (in this world). Chapter 36. Surah Ya-Sin, Al-Quran. This passage ('Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father’) is the same as in Matthew, "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'(Matt. 25:34-40) and no one in this world will say that the hungry one was the king; it is just an example and a metaphor. Because there was a question asking ‘Show us the Father’, they should have known that God cannot be seen [ Exodus 33:20]). Seeing Jesus was enough proof that God existed and hence was like seeing God. Matthew 25:41 Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave Me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, I was naked and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’…44 And they too will reply, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then the King will answer, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.’ Matthew 25:46 And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." “O People, spread Salaam (greeting with this words: peace be upon you), feed the hungry, pray at night when people are sleeping, and you will enter paradise in peace.” [Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ] By ourselves we are all poor and helpless. From our good health to knowledge-intellect-Wisdom and wealth are all gifts from ALLAH. The GOD who has given us so many blessings has again instructed the rich to meet the needs of the needy. But some infidels question this instruction of ALLAH Ta'ala. They say: Why does ALLAH say to give food and clothing to the poor? Why doesn't he do it himself? Then surely ALLAH Himself does not want these people to survive... (Nauzubillah) If we realize that we do not own what we have, but that it is a gift from GOD, then it becomes easier for us to help the destitute/poor. Fire of Regret (74:28)) 74:43 They will reply, "We were not of the Musalleen." 74:44 "Neither did we feed the hungry, nor did we take part in helping those who had lost their jobs, those whose businesses had stalled, and those whose hard-earned income was insufficient to meet their basic needs." 74:45 "And we were among those who used to say what they did not do." 74:46 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment and that the Divine System will eventually prevail" (And that Allah's Law of Requital is totally unbiased and makes no exceptions By the time, Indeed, mankind is in loss, except those who believe & do righteous deeds & advise each other to truth & patience. [Sura Al-Asr(103)]

It's allowed me to go from homeless to helping both my disabled siblings( we grew up without parents and were separated for lost of our lives). Along the way I've tried to help the homeless and never put that in a newspaper or deducted from my taxes. I'll leave this earth hoping I made someone's day a little brighter.

I agree. I don't want to brag but I've been that generous all my life. Unfortunately I always got thanked with a bite in return. A few years ago I was unemployed (not homeless, that time), I gave the little money I had for my monthly food expenses to my neighbors who were crying at my door.... I make the story short. I never expected anything in return, but at least a warm kind Hello each time we'd meet around the building we both lived in. Instead her adult daughter never said hello and snobbishly passed by me, never a smile nothing nice. Her mother even yelled at me once, for no reason. I I had the same kind of experience with another neighbor I had helped out. And I'm always a kind agreeable person. This is crazy 😳 Anyway I didn't change my personality, I just keep in mind more than ever never to even expect a smile back if ever I do a kind deed again.

I picked him up treated him to dinner & he told me he gave his last $20 to a man who begged and said his family has not eaten for 2 days. At the end of dinner I received a call from another friend asking me if I know anyone with certain qualifications and experience for a job opening in his company. I just looked up and was looking at such a man. I am so happy that both my friends got what they wanted a job for one and an employee for the other.

it is responsibility of govt to take of the needy especially in a capitalist system. so this random help is a pie in the sky. like right now due to covid they moved all the homeless to hotels in sfo. normally that place cost 200 dollars/day and now they have been given to homeless for free. new-york also handled homeless during covid times. there is regular help but people say it is crowded and not enough etc. if they can do it during covid surely they can do better in better times. hope you are better now.

YOU NEED A REALITY CHECK ... My roommate who owns the house I currently live in will be retiring in another year or so. My son and I will be homeless, my health is bad, my son has disabilities yet we always try to help others. I donate my time when I can, I give away food and donate what We don’t need. I pray for answers. I know we will get through this and will still help others along the way. Life is what it is. Not really sure how but things will work out eventually. If you open your heart that is the biggest thing you can do. Think positive, love hard, and never give up.

Out of my what seems like nothing I fed the homeless and hungry for years.. however, there were sometimes I would give food to someone that profess that they were hungry and begging.. I watch them popped the plate open but that's not what they wanted.. they were asking for money.. I also notice that there is a spirit of begging now a days. There are many Out there that are begging as a job.. rather than wanting to work . This can also be a distraction as now we need the spirit of God to reveal those that are sincerely in need of help.. God does lead us to reach out to those that are genuine. However, the word of God says give and it will come back to you, good measure. Pressed down shaking together running over. There is a principle in giving.. when you give to those in need you lend to God.. He will always replenish you.

Even more scripturally true discernment would reveal the difference between so-called 'begging' OR mere freedom of speech to ASK. They're not the same thing as so many think. Neither is a J.O.B. (Just Over- Burdening; a tax term) OR WORK (Free Trade/Note: An Alien...2nd box on S.S. form... is allowed to WORK). This is the kind of 'JUST WEIGHTS & BALANCES God wants/wanted us to know and guard in (His) order to remain 'free' and/or sovereign, but He knew we wouldn't guard knowledge with Wisdom. He warned us(them) that we would 'change & abrogate everything...AND blame Him for our own self destruction'. They even rent us our OWN private property these days, as in a storage unit you may not be able to access when NEEDED; Self destruction is about the only thing we all OWN & SHARE. Time to really see & behold!! If ya can't comprehend these things, there's still nothing that can stop any of us from doing what our Father IN HEAVEN still does...giving...helping...etc Some HAVE only begin to learn these things the wrong or hard way, but we're NOT to Lord it OVER them...go share that TOO. A double-meal!!😊❤

The problem is that there are a lot of liars and manipulators out there some that aren’t even homeless that beg as a full time job. It makes people not want to help. As well as a huge junkie problem. I will personally always help a genuine person in need of help. But it deters others.

This brought tears to my eyes. Having been homeless, for several years, I know there are good people in the world and it's such a beautiful thing to see, people actually caring about one another. If you are homeless, don't stay there. Find a counsellor or a worker, who can help you out of what feels like an endless trap. Be strong, have faith, believe.

It's too bad that society as a whole is so far from being like this. If we all were even half as decent of human beings as this this world would be a much happier and enjoyable place to live.
@Simple_Jackass3 жыл бұрын
It's not "society's" fault. People ARE inherently good, to argue otherwise is just an indication of the person's toxic programming they've endured from mainstream media, local "news" stations, and now the increasingly corporatized "social media" world.... "Society" has been bred, shaped, and molded to have a VERY focused, specific, and absolutely devastating outlook on things, and frankly, the way things are setup, people have to work SO HARD to make ends meet, it creates this breeding ground for resentment when they see a hand outstretched. It doesn't make the person evil or sociopathic or even selfish to step over a homeless person, as HARSH as that sounds (and NOT something I EVER would condone for crying out loud), but it's really as if a section of "society's" mind has been shutdown, and I personally think it's a VERY intentionally created situation. BUT, I've already ranted for far too long, and I sincerely believe your heart is in the right place. Just don't give up on "society" just yet brother, do your part to awaken that shutdown part of people's brains, just like this video is striving to do, quite literally, and I think you'll be surprised how easy it is to bring the humanity out in someone.... Stay positive!! Even when it's bleak brother.... :))))
