Today I checked my diary - it happened in September 2004 at a Coffee shop in New Delhi, India where I was working as a Team Member serving coffee. The supervisor were referring to some South East Asian customers as "chinky-pinky" trying to racially abuse me ( I am from Manipur and belong to the Asian race). The following month my Manager who was a North Indian told me in a cold voice - "you are my dog. You are my Lilliput." After almost 2 decades now I am still trying to figure out what he meant by "you are my Lilliput".😊 I kept cool. He changed his way of insulting me throughout. I continued in that shop for almost a year. Those were my initial few years in Delhi. Back in my home state they still try to insult us in the clever ways possible, and will ultimately use the victim card.
