Three years ago, Dr. Sinclair published his book Lifespan: Why We Age and Why We Don’t Have To. Lifespan has remained a very popular read over the years, and based on the hundreds of thoughtful questions we received, Dr. Sinclair’s fans are very familiar with his research, book, and podcast. In this Q&A session with Dr. Sinclair, we dive into a few of the most commonly asked questions from our listeners.
1:15 - Intermittent fasting:- who is it for, who is it not for, and which blood biomarkers indicate it is right for you?
4:22 - Which specific biomarkers do you track over time for longevity?
7:28 - How are Resveratrol supplements associated with the aging process?
9:55 - Is it possible to participate in endurance events while also pursuing longevity?
11:45 - One of the most exciting things about science is that it is ever evolving. Since writing Lifespan, have you found new longevity insights that will be featured in your next book?
13:35 - What is the future of epigenetic reprogramming?
16:27 What’s the relationship between metformin and homocysteine levels?

So, Dr. Sinclair promotes the widespread use of NMN (developing a big market), then, as a key member of a startup marketing an NMN derivative, asks the FDA to regulate NMN (cornering the NMN market using the FEDS)- very creative, Dr. Sinclair!

I don't get it, can you explain more?
@exxzxxe
@exxzxxe Жыл бұрын
@@Sulaiman-xh8wx First" Google 'glaxosmithkline sirtis' or 'gsk resveratrol'. You will read Sinclair's involvement in promoting resveratrol as a 'wonder supplement' and induced GSK to spend $720 million acquiring Sirtis- a company founded by Sinclair. GSK could never reproduce results claimed by Sinclair. It was a fiasco. So here is where it all starts. More recent Sinclair has promoted NMN to thousands (millions?) . Then he forms a company to advance NMN chemistry and, at the same time, requests the FDA to regulate NMN.

I’d love to hear more on the progress of animal testing to reverse aging. I know it has been done in mice, but what about other animals? Additionally, how’s the progress on making more ‘yoda’ mice? Finally, are there any results I can reference on NAD precursors in dogs and cats? I vaguely recall there was a study going on currently but I couldn’t find it on the web.

My only main problem is that I work the night shift, although part time, and hopefully only for a few more years until I retire. But could I read anything about being naturally nocturnal like some animals are?🤔 Meow!

@@miracoli16 I've been following age reversal for twenty years. There hasn't been one aspect of human aging that has been reversed. Humans live an average of seven decades if able bodies. Thirty years of those decaf s is spent decaying. I don't know what decade you're in, but I'm going on my fifth in two years. Aging will start around 38 and drastically decline starting around 43. I can say that, because I'm living it. I do moderate exercise and have taken nmn for years. Believe me I hate aging, it's gross, pure and simple. I can't fathom how much a body decays in just a decade. David is all about keeping his millions flowing in. He's a charlatan, and nothing more.

@@miracoli16 , I took one time nmn and resveretrol together. This was a couple years ago. The resveretrol was the white powder David recommended. I'll be honest, I was 46 at the time, and started just sprinting when I was out for my daily exercise. That combination together did something. I honestly haven't been able to find the right resveretrol. Twice I ordered it, and it was the brown powder inside. I just got another bottle of gen x nmn 250 mg. Been taking it a few days now. Will see any results in a couple weeks. One thing that did happen because I took nmn the last time about six months ago. About four months ago I had full blood work done. Now I'm not the healthiest eater, with hardly any fruits at all. Every bit of my blood work came back within the range limit. Most of it was on the lower spectrum. My cholesterol was 161, trig 93, hdl, 71, ldl 71.4, glucose 89, carbon dioxide 28, total protein 7.3. I probably contribute possible nmn a little.
