Particularly the day after intense exercise (BJJ). I have trouble focusing and getting through the day even with heavily optimized sleep. I am currently alternating between 16 and 22 hour fasts. When I do eat, it is mostly a low protein, high carb, plant based food (with some junk thrown in because I'm human and still working on things). I am taking NMN, resveratrol and Metformin. I can plot trajectories across the stars, how the stara form, hell i can make a star here on earth. I can tell you the age of the universe. In the same breath I cannot tell you in a fundamental level how a cell transcribes genes, I cannot tell you how the proteins are transported and constructed, I cannot tell you how a protein is folded, I cannot tell you how a cell structures it's self, I cannot tell you how all this produces consciousness, I cannot explain the quantum mechanical effects of biology and how cells utilize it. My point isn't that we don't know per se, as there are things we don't know about physics. I can breakdown the solar system and its functions and interactions much more easily then I can explain a drop of blood.

@@larnapike6992 under my 23 and me account, I don't see anything that would indicate a propensity for that or any other form of cancer. As a teacher myself a huge obstacle is keeping my students and coachees happy about humanity. I am as wound up at the end of your book as I am at the beginning. Thank you for your genius and your optimism.

Great stuff. Hopefully we can get a list of blood test to take and how often to measure effectiveness and if it causes any problems. Apart from the physical or mental impact

Thank you Dr. Sinclair and Mr. LaPlante for the podcast. I have been fasting since I saw your interview at Joe Rogans and like to try some of the supplements you are taking. I understand you do not recommend taking any of these but do you have any trusted source where we can purchase these? Your good friend (and podcast twin) Dr. Huberman recommends Thorne which does not have what you were speaking of in this episode. Thanks again for your work

Yes! I'm glad I found out about this at a relatively healthy and young point of my life (37). Trying to tailor a plan for my specific needs and goals. Now I need to find out how to get my husband on board more! He is a "Joe Rogan" type of guy so he is more attracted to his brand of lifestyle choice if you get what I mean but want to get him over on the Dr Sinclair side

I can't wait for the episode on hair regrowth / regeneration. I know it was a topic announced for future episodes. 🙏
@delaneyondreams3 жыл бұрын
Add to that hair regrowth issue: are the topicals used to increase eyebrow regrowth safe? I have used Beverly Hills Dr. Brow and in about 3 months it started to regrow , by 6 months even helper regrow the outer halves of my brows. So it works even if I don't, after 1.5 years, have the thick brows of my youth. Still, worth the bother. Amaz. Has much less expensive versions, but I do not know how to judge them nor have I found associated effectiveness studies.

Maybe, you should consider creating short clips out of those podcasts to bring more people to podcast? Most people don't have time to watch 1 hour long podcast to check if it's good or not. I think most people that watch your podcasts are already familiar with what you do and how good they are. But we should spread the world so more people are aware what you can do today to prolong your life. Keep doing the great work!

I love this podcast, and the format. However, I was wondering if there is room for special episodes where you have another researcher alongside you that might be able to add some criticism or another perspective to the research. I came across Dr Rhonda Patrick's video on Metformin for healthy people who exercise, and she seems less enthusiastic about the research. I finally found a review of the literature from last year that gave me a better understanding, but I was wondering if you could make this more efficient. My thought is, maybe you can have someone like Dr Rhonda Patrick on, and discuss a set topic that neither of you too fully agree on, like Metformin. Not to debate necessarily, but to get a more complete view and really flesh out the current state of the research from multiple angles. Matt can still be the moderator, he's great!

As a person without any medical background I really wonder how to check my body response to the supplements recommended in this podcast🤷🏻♀️. I would like to know what blood parameters/blood tests I should check before taking the supplements and when to check out the results by retesting. My kind wish is to have the professor’s opinion whether the recommended supplements are safe for people with celiac disease? Could you also recommend supplements for people with serious problems with knees (deficiency of collagen and how to reverse that ?) Thank you for helping people understand what is going on with their own body❤️

GlaxoSmithKline has to entirely drop all research and studies based off the company bought from Sinclair, as the results were not only bad, but in fact produced negative outcomes.

Taking a supplement or injecting young plasma in a very old body would likely lead to rejuvenation in some tissues, but would also lead to rescue of some very damaged cells and since the all tissues and cells are not rejuvenated to the same extent can lead to undesirable outcomes such as cancer. For e.g. suppose a supplement rejuvenates the liver and does not rejuvenate the immune system to the same extent, some liver cells on the brink of senescence would be rescued, but with mutations or damaged DNA and the dysfunctional and aged immune system would not be able to eliminate them

If you can not get Metformin.... Is quercetin plus fisetin in combination a good backup plan.... Already doing resveratrol and NMN. It is hard as a lay person to understand some of the details... Appreciate all of your efforts to reach average people like me.

What do you think about Berberine instead of metformin? I was reading is very effective as diabetes treatment and metabolism regulation. Do they work similarly or do they act on completely different metabolic pathways? Thank you, love the highly scientific quality of the podcast.

Thank you for all your hard work Dr. Sinclair. I listened to your channel and then went out and bought resveratrol and yogurt. I've been taking it for a few days now (along with NMN and metformin) and I'm feeling great. But then I get a video on my feed from Dr Brad Stanfield saying that resveratrol is harmful to humans. Now I'm confused. Still taking the resveratrol with my yogurt, but I'm a little worried. Will my daily metformin dosages overcome any issues with resveratrol?

Thanks for the podcast! My request for the future is to do a deeper dive on some of the markers. I’ve been very frustrated in particular about VO2MAX. But would be good to understand the ones from Inside Tracker as well.
@marky54932 жыл бұрын
There's not much you can change about vo2max through athletes/coach's will tell you different...... if you are say 37 don't expect to go train and shoot up to 67 later. but you can make it go up/down a little through exercise. think its about 10% Its basically down to your genetics. Here's an example, my wife and i have the same vo2max no, granted theres differences ie female , 2 years older than me,Bmi in range etc, but i can run 5km no stress, but my wife will be panting 1km mark.

I am so glad you are doing these podcasts....I have been following you David for over 2 years now and am on the NMN/Resveratrol and Berberine protocols. I love how I feel and look, my doctor is amazed and so are the other people when I tell them my age. Also been doing the fisetin and quercetin as well. And a glass of red wine at dinner. Trying now to cram 2 small meals into that 8 hour window. Blessings.

Hi lindy T , Can you pls share which company you get involved with NMn & Resveratrol pls. Is your resveratrol white which is Trans Res or Cis ones which are brown. Alive by Science USA said they don’t have in stock until Mid March and NAD London Aliveby Science said they have CIs brown ones but they don’t have trans white resveratrol ones. I’m stressed .Cause I like to see 3rd party test also. Many Thanks😔💊💊

Great podcast and a lot to learn. I live in europe and looked up what your whole supplemention would cost. For this I have exchanged metformin with berberine because you cant buy it. And im not sure if every supplier is 100% thrustworthy. That would be the equivalent of 250 dollars per person per month. Without Inside Tracker / Levels or vitamin supplement. Is this really affordable for the everyday person in the US?

Thanks for this informative video! Couple questions. If resveratrol works better when ingested with fats, would it be as effective to take with fish oil capsules as with the suggested yogurt or olive oil? Also, would taking Athletic Greens in the morning significantly break the fast if trying to skip breakfast? Thanks again!

greens you should take with fat, ideally with a meal for full absorption
