Been watching for years and now we watch with the grandkids when they come over 👍 Please folks, don't change a tire on the side of the road, so dangerous. I tell everyone I know, it's only a tire, I don't care if you shred the thing driving to a safe spot, it can be replaced, it's only money...

Just to add some experience with falken tires, I do love them and have 3 sets on difference vehicles. Most of my experience with tires comes from “track/motor sports” so take it with a grain of salt. I’ve witnessed falken rt660 delaminate and have the tread splice several times. I currently have a set showing signs of treat splicing which is not nearly as dangerous as a delamination. I have a set of at3w that are totally fine and a set of 510 that are also great. I have some friends that will not run Falken because delaminating is a real issue on track. I would just watch for it in the future. Great video as usual! ✌️

I have the Toyo open country R/T trail tiers on my truck and I love them. There not to loud at all and the tread is just a little bit more aggressive and wider gaps between the tread then an all-terrain tire. And I’ve been in snow, mud, sand, soft dirt and heavy rain and with that heavy rain, a lot of standing water on the road with zero issues of hydroplaning. The only thing is win the road is wet you do feel the tire slip a little bit and I’m pretty sure it’s to do with me having a diesel truck with all that torque and my drive tires been at 80 PSI. I have my drives at 80 PSI because I pull a heavy trailer often, but I am very confident if I drop my tire pressure down to 60 psi on the rear tires, it would help tremendously. But to be honest with you, I kind of felt the same thing with all-terrain tires I just can’t be sure. But other than that I am extremely happy with them and I would buy them again with no questions asked.
@Jc-bo1uu10 ай бұрын
Another thing about the Toyota trails is there not as heavy as a Toyota, open country M/T tire and lighter then the traditional Toyo Open country R/T tire. Toyo open country R/T trails. Have a two ply sidewall, but they’re extra thick so you get the benefits of a sidewall without the weight.

Having an OGT expedition trailer and after 2 years of overlanding with it, trust me when I say you want a spare for the trailer and the tow vehicle, especially if you are Off-road. Figure something out in the front of the trailer like moving the propane tanks soomewhere else but put that spare tire on it. Insurance!
@LifestyleOverland11 ай бұрын
I'm hoping I got Murphy off my back at this point! We actually specifically requested no spare and dual tanks because in 10 years of off-road travels we've only had 1 quality, load range E tire fail. And of the load range C's, we were able to repair. I'm gonna keep up the strategy and hope the blow out was a fluke! (Worst case, it's fun content, lol)

Boy, I was worried about your family being on the side of the road like that changing out the tire. Ive heard stories of horrific accidents of people who were caught on the shoulder of a hwy and got hit by a truck. Not gonna lie. Held my breath just watching it. I always tell my wife if she ever experiences a blowout try your best to get off the hwy at the next exit. A messed up rim is better than being in an accident.
