Cool vehicles. Nice tunes. Cute Chloe! Really enjoyed all of it.

Great video. I did a trip this summer following your same route. Looks like we camped at some of the same places including the spot outside of Stewart. I found that spot just scouting. The spot by the lake gets crowded during the weekend and I suspect it can get crowded during certain hunting seasons. I camped there during the week on the way north and it was just me and a nice German couple. Last year I stopped there during the weekend and it was packed. Love seeing the father-daughter trips.

We made that trip 10 years ago in our Land Cruiser, a 16 foot trailer, 2 dogs, 3 kids and a wife. It was spectacular. The farther north you get, the nicer people are. We took the Cassiar, bears everywhere. Almost 10 years in Anchorage, I can't wait to escape back down it.

As a fan of the 2015+ Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban, it's unfortunate no one really talks about it's capabilities(even if limited) in-depth. Only the new car reviews talking about how the Z71 can go up dirt road thats smoothed over. I'm sure there's companies and/or mechanics that have put together a very capable overlanding package for that platform.

The legendary land cruisers all had very dependable diesel engines…going to turbo, small displacements hybrid engines will not be nearly as dependable, particularly in Overland trim

I really enjoyed your trip! As my kiddos (5 of them!) have aged out of hanging out with dad.. it reminds me of so many trips where mom got a break and dad took the minions on an adventure and the conversations we have had (and still have.. twins are 14 and still camp with their old dad)... enjoy these trips..one day you will blink and everyone is working or in college and they dont have time to spend with dear old papa!

Great job Kevin. We've been following you for a long time and love all your adventures. I've fallen in love with this Quadlock mount. I have the same phone and might try it out. However, I have one concern with the system: Does the increased thickness on the back still allow you to charge wirelessly on (other) regular chargers, like the ones built into the desk? Best wishes to you and your family. ;)

I haven't tried yet since I usually plug it in to a super fast charger at home

No way I would give up our 200 series LC for the new 250. It has real leather, seats for 8, a tail gate, more payload, more towing, and a proven V8. I love the 250 looks but thats about all.

Who do you use for your aftermarket parts? My son has an old 1998 4 runner and he wants to do the lower ball joint uni-ball mod. He plans on hitting the Umcompangre national forest near Ouray CO this summer.

It’s fun to watch these well done videos. And appreciate this channel but I don’t expect any real scrutiny after getting this access. Have to wait on the smaller channels to give the real shakedowns or if you buy your own and do a full video
@LifestyleOverlandКүн бұрын
So when someone does too good of a job articulating their first impressions (including detailed criticisms) and produces a quality video... you decide to call them liars. 🤦 I guess I need to start getting paid by these companies if folks are just going to accuse us of collusion anyhow. Or, maybe I'll lay off the hours spent collecting my thoughts, writing a script, then building an entertaining and informative video. Fun fact, we're viewer supported here so our incentive is to honestly share our thoughts with our supporters, not bend truth in thanks to a corporation for "access". If I get the chance to borrow one for a more in depth test I'll continue to share my honest thoughts with our viewers and Toyota but like I said in this video... I have zero plans to buy one.

At 8:00 Anderson Ranch Area is one of my favorite places to camp year-round. Close to BoiSe but far enough away to get away from the routine and into nature. This sounds crazy but you have to try KFC...Canadian chicken without all the hormones and antibiotics we shove into our food is AMAZING. And you can't forget Coffee Crisp candy! What a beautiful trip but definitely better with less drive hours per day and more stopping to smell the roses.

To US viewers: the "new Landcruiser 250" is not a real Landcruiser by any means! It is a Prado (like a 4Runner). The Landcruiser is the 300 series.
@LifestyleOverlandКүн бұрын
What are the requirements to be a real Land Cruiser?
@DaciaProjectКүн бұрын
@ Being overbuilt. The Prado was always sold here in Europe alongside the 100 and 200 Series and was never considered to be an actual Landcruiser.
@LifestyleOverland16 сағат бұрын
I'm not sure that's the case with the newer 300 series since it now shares the same chassis with the 250, 4Runner, GX550, LX600 etc. I haven't found any data that says this new fleet wide chassis is thicker for different models.
@DaciaProject16 сағат бұрын
@@LifestyleOverland I know what you are saying but in places like Australia even this new LC 250 is totally looked down upon since they get the 300 Series and the LC 76, 78 and 79 of course.
@DaciaProject3 күн бұрын
What you want is the LC 300 diesel. You can get them here in Europe as some were imported in 2022 from Russia right before the Ukraine War. They run around 150k euro though as you pay import duties twice, once to Russia and once to the EU.
