In India people are forced to lead their personal lives in constant peer pressure. The fact is nobody in the society will be impacted by how this couple distributes responsibilities. This video is indeed an eye opener. Great content.

@prathameshadsul8700 These families are rare? 😅😅😅 I was born and raised in the States. My family here and in India are broad minded and progressive. My in-laws' thinking is 10th century. Very difficult especially since I don't understand their dialect.

I am in a different city away from home in the last couple of days. Yesterday I bumped into an old friend. She invited me home. She had got recently married and has a small baby. She and husband are both doctors. And then she told me … that with the small baby - her husband decided to be the stay at home dad while she is in a job! I was soooo thrilled! Her husband was such a model!! Even when we went out for dinner- he took care of the baby so wonderfully - insisting that we both should have our catch up time!! I told them about this short film and expressed my happiness. Mentally blessed both of them for long term success and happiness I am from the previous gen - their baby is younger than my grandkids 😊

it's not the fault of the men actually. it's the system. we are all affected by criticism from others. and we think what will people say. but it's funny to think that we are a part of these people, and we are not breaking barriers, and judging others who are breaking these nonsense barriers.

gender stereotype kabhi khatam nhi hoga yeh sach hai, pr uske liye fight humesha krna hai nhi to life acchese ji nhi paoge. there will always be 2 sides in the world, good and bad, logical and nonsense, conservative and critical. without one part, we won't be able to identify and understand the other part. but bad people are not stopping their agenda thinking that good will never end from this society, are they? they are too enthusiastic and gets up in the morning thinking whom to harm that day. then good thoughts shouldn't be restricted in fear of the bad ones too. there is nothing called ultimate justice or karma. we have to make our own way, always.

@prathameshadsul8700 I don't know why you are telling these under my original comment, I find no link between them. But let me ask you, why any relationship is bad if it is between some consenting adults and it is not hurting others? And why divorce is bad too? But you are right about one thing. Yes, punishing someone in the name of love is criminal. But I'm not sure your definition of bad relationship and mine match. Our society is so close-minded and patriarchal, that we almost always think and act in toxic ways, and hurt each other, e.g., we practice gender roles, without any question, or, we blame people and question their morality if they are not trying to fit into the box of patriarchy and status-quo.

Man can never replace the position of a woman. The way a mother can train and bring up a child is different. A few years down the line is when people will realise that a mother is the best in nurturing a child.

But you can’t put all the pressure on her. The kid is a child of BOTH parents. Both are equally responsible to instill values in them. Both parents need to give time. If one is working , the other needs to be there to attend to the child’s emotional and other needs.

Of course both have to play a role...no doubt regarding that. However a woman plays a pivot role in the upbringing of her child. This was the case in all religions and cultures as well. The West has now come along with this trend and unfortunately we are falling for it. By the time we realise its negative effects, it might be too late.

Mixed feelings on this one. On one hand you show a progressive woman willingly being the "bread-winner" for her family while her husband too is a willing stay-at-home "home-maker', and on the other hand you show another woman who remains stuck in traditional beliefs of men being "bread winners" and women being home-makers. Also, should have let Aaditya make the tea when Pooja returns from work (after all how many men would prepare tea for their home-maker wife soon after returning from office ?). Also, her MIL should have been shown to be accepting this new reality to usher in this much-needed change in our society. MIL making tea for her son when Pooja has left for office wasn't helpful to the narrative either. I feel had Nirupama Saxena ji (who usually plays mother or MIL to Anshika Awasthi) played the role of MIL here, she would have opted to be a progressive MIL and appreciated the couple for their mutually accepted choice. Anyway, the Life Tak creative team seems to have been caught between traditional & modern day perspectives. Good luck !

It seems that whatever Veerabrahmam said is becoming true. I cant even imagine the men would not hesitate to tell themself as home makers. How hard it will be for his mother. Why cant the wife leave her job? If the husband lost the job or if he is paralyzed or his unable to do the job then the case is different. Husband prefer to stay at home rather than go out and do job is something which is not at all acceptable. He should be the breadwinner. The monthly expenses of home should be met by men's income. Whatever women earns it should be for herself. When women are thinking for financial independence, why should the husband be a home maker? Why should a man depend on women's income?
