Maternity leave is never a vacation. Its time given to heal your body from the pain while giving birth to a baby via normal birth or c section surgery. It's a time given to stabilise the body back to normal while taking care of the newborn. Plus newborns are more sensitive and need to be handled with care. Loved how the boss encourage the other female colleagues. 👌

6 months are more than enough to heal after child birth(Doctors suggest 4 weeksb, max 6 weeks r enough to return) Don't get me wrong, but an extended maternity leave can effect a women's career negatively (no matter how much we try to change it)
@Harpreetk962 жыл бұрын
@@shreyarajput-singha5908 yes. I agree. In India gives 6 months leave but in some foreign countries max 3 months maternity leave. My company gave me only 2 months of maternity leave not more. 2/3/6 month leave is not a vacation as shown in the video where the men was literally saying it is a vacation and if they have opportunity they will go for it. Technically it is wrong in saying that. Many people assume maternity leave you enjoy after giving birth but its not true. Beautiful! 👏👏. So glad this important aspect has been highlighted so well. There should be compulsory workshops in companies to facilitate other employees, when welcoming back women from their maternity leave💐, to whenever it applies. Also true, women only can support other women in workplaces that need more understanding!

i faced this too at my work ..when I came after maternity leave,just after 3 months of my delivery..its already a mixed feeling, that guilt of leaving your baby and excitement of joining back your position at work ..while your body is still healing..but everyone around us is out of that caring zone. Postpartum depression is a harrowing situation. Sleepless nights, early mornings, baby guilt and work environment.I used to feel that I did a big mistake planning my baby and lost my growing carrier..it was hard making my space again in my own office. my heart cried but no one was there to understand. But I never gave up. Yes my career went almost 2 years backstep but today i have regained my position and got a promotion too..Ladies just give some time to yourself and others..don't think of giving up..with time you will learn to handle work and babies comfortably.

Reality is totally different in corporate world,2-3 years ke liye growth ruk jata he ,juniors aage chale jate he,kyunki jab pregnant hote he tab company kuch nahi hike deti fir maternity se aate he tab bhi kuch nahi because they know you will not go anywhere,this is my experience

Bas skills upgrade krti rehni chahiye aur phir job change kr leni chahiye, ek better portfolio aur resume ke saath, yehi sahi strategy hai !!! Companies see employees as resources, not humans !!! Aur companies assets gain krna aur liabilities reduce krna chahte hai, aur auratein chahe kitni bhi skilled aur mehnati ho na kyun, lekin sirf aur sirf yeh maternity reason ke wje se auraton ko aadmiyon se zyada liabilities aur aadmiyon se kam assets dekha jaate hai !!!

What a message. Kids as a society are our collective responsibility. Imagine if women stopped giving birth in pursuit of their careers. As a mom and a professional doctor,I know it's been hard. In Singapore it's compulsory for all boys to do 2 years national service after 18 but for women they say giving birth is their national service. Imagine this happening to a woman from your family. You pointed out the society's welfare. Why don't you see from Top Management's view point? They have their business targets in this competitive environment. When a responsible post woman go for Maternity Leave, Will it not affect the project/targets? Top management is getting paid for the growth of company , not for the society.

Women can take materity leave but she should not cry for promotion. She has to work for the equal time she took maternity leave before asking for promotion.
