i see a lot of women in this comment section saying “my in laws and husband have let me work, they’re so supportive”, etc. That’s the BARE MINIMUM. they shouldn’t HAVE to let you work or be supportive, it’s your life and you don’t need to ask anybody whether YOU can work or not. That is for YOU to decide. Don’t settle for the bare minimum.

If they let you meet your own parents then that's an added plus. If girl's parents have a boy then that's the boys headache. Even the SC of India mandates boys to take care of their parents. So much for the girl child equality, their parents are not equal.

In those times when I can stay in my room with my job and doing housework. Its a lot of work and effort is really required. But once I do it. I know they all will come to.take credit for it. Even if they don't know I am still pursuing it. But I want to do it for myself no matter what.

Very good story. It inspires a lot. As a dt-in-law, I was the only one having job. My sisters-in-law were all home-makers. They always thought and still think that my job was for time pass, so that I don't hve to do household chores. I think we women hve to be assertive and need to balance our life/family ourselves, because nobody will do it for us. Namaste frm Nepal 🙏

What is there to be discussed when he comes back home? When you have made a decision for yourself(on personal life) you don't need another person's approval to act upon the decision you made (unless they pay for it). I have seen women getting changed after marriage in terms of keeping others as priority over herself & its true.. There are couples where both of them earns but still the household chores are handeled primarily by the women. So, the change that we are expecting is gradual and mostly mindset related :) Hopefully, it starts soon to strengthen the foundation of every relationship where both the genders share equal responsibilities :)

Whether the girl wants to pursue her career or not is something which reserves within her rights. Right....I don't like women blaming their husbands for not allowing them to work....if a woman wants to be a working wife then she should let her future husband know about it before marriage so that he can decide whether he will be comfortable with that or not. There are many men who want a working wife and many men who want a housewife. Similarly there are many woman who want to be a working wife and many woman who want to be a housewife. So a man and a woman should only marry if they share the same openion and goals. And these things should be discussed before marriage.

Individual financial independence is the need for many due to which some women end up slogging at home and at work place Now a days most women earn n manage families what is important is she should be treated as a Human not a machine Men in our country need to share the household chores equally. I know many couples where women earn more than men but ultimately the women is the one who has to mend everything This work discrimination should end

Getting a job and working within different people gives everyone a chance to explore themselves, fund their own dreams, follow their passions. One cannot sit like a mannequin in a big house just waiting for their partners to return home. They say women need to take care of their child while a man funds the household but it is a pressure for all the members if the house. The mother looses her freedom to explore, the child looses their connection with the father, and the father has the job pressure and the tension to earn money and insure against any kind of circumstances. But life is uncertain right? One always needs a backup in both sides. Both partners can manage their time for jobs and family. Its possible if both partners come into a mutual agreement. One sided sacrifice is never a proper decision.

Ladies, why your husband is more important than yourself?? You should be your first priority, do things which makes you happy
@ashishranjan887
@ashishranjan887 3 жыл бұрын
Do things which make you happy but let your future husband know about your thoughts and opinions before marriage so that he can decide whether whether he will be comfortable with that or not. There are many girls who want to be a working wife and many girls who want to be a housewife. So....a man and a woman should marry only if they share the same openion and goals. And these things should be discussed before marriage.

It's not identity. She can have one even if she's a homemaker. It's about her choice n happiness. Why should another person decide for her? No, identity doesnot come only from working outside the home. Even if she practices her music at home n sings , she has her identity. It all depends on HER choice, her happiness.

Agree.. Raising kids and taking care of our home doesn't mean we are losing our Identity.. It's completely our choice.. Even i am married and i was working but left for my little daughter, and i want to work again too but we have to prioritise things in life.. @@swadheenata6550 Being a criminal lawyer, I've dealt with many divorse cases, so it's easy for me to look for the red flags. People slip once in a while. Focus on what other person is saying and not on the emotional aspects. I just broke my engagement because this exact thing happened. The guy said his family is liberal and I can continue working, but once everything between our families got finalized, he changed his tune. He even described what my schedule would be after marriage - which included nothing but cooking meals for him 4 times a day. He asked me to work from home, was insecure about my male friends - surprisingly, he is a lawyer in Canada and still has the thinking of an uneducated person. The biggest red flag and I told my parents that I won't be marrying him. Thankfully, my parents love me and supported my decision.

@@sherrybhatnagar5511 Why is wanting a housewife considered a red flag....? He is wrong if he agreed before but changed afterwards and I appraise you for taking your stand and breaking your engagement. But just like it's a woman's choice to decide whether she wants to be a housewife or working wife..... similarly it's a man's choice to decide whether he wants a housewife or a working wife. And these things should be clearly discussed before marriage. A man and a woman should marry only if they share the same openion. And yes.....I don't totally understand the liberal logic maybe because I am a conservative person but any man whether liberal or conservative don't like his wife having male friends......so just tell about these things clearly to your future partner before marriage and marry only if he doesn't have any problems with that.

However even been unmarried my brother and sis in law criticized and insulted me even though I was baring all my and home expenses during that period from my savings and they didn't themselves contributed towards the family responsibilities. Also when you are not working then the mind grabs negativity rapidly and personality becomes down. So working is important at every stage.
