I think the bet to induce is a bad play with not alot of knowledge of the opponents, I am learning more and more going for max value in those spots where your trash hand turns and rivers into gold. What are you really repping? It looks maybe like a 5, but he cant fold top two. You'd never play an over pair that way and it would make sense for him to bluff catch. Dont get me wrong, I dont understand his check much. However when he bets that turn and improves, he cant fold and I think in the long run we are going to get way more value going for full pot even when getting folds. SH he is check folding 25% to a full pot bet. and calling the 1k 80% of the time, and even when he does raise when you bet so small, he is still maybe only going 5x max? So I mean the small amount of time that he raises, to a size similar to what just betting pot yourself would be, I believe just betting pot in the long run also helps polarize your range and get max value, while also making our hand look potentially bluffy. Anyways I did not mean to go on a rant and hindsite is 20/20
