Whatever you and your partner agree on is fine. There's no 'you shouldn't do this or that', if you are both fine with it. The important thing is you communicate and are comfortable with what you're doing. Even if you don't get outbreaks, you can still transmit. It's called viral shedding and it's the time when you don't have any symptoms- or the symptoms are so mild you don't notice them.
