This has been so helpful. I’ve had herpes for 20 yrs. I stayed in a really bad toxic marriage for 14 yrs bc of it. Its still a mystery how i got type 2. Im 54 and ive never slept around. My husband of 30 years was tested after i had my first horrible outbreak 2 years ago, he was negative! Huh? What? He did come home from work one night with dirty hands and started touching me. I made him go wash, but we think he had a germs on his hand. Is that possible? This is my second outbreak and it stings and keeps me from sleeping. Ive tried essential oils like ginger(stings!) Tea tree oil (the sting is not as much, witch hazel. I barely bought black seed oil. Its so hard trying to function! I realized we cant eat peanutbutter, chocolate, nuts, sunflower seeds, coconut, sugar that before my outbreak i ate all those things!!😭😭😭I pray to God to help me endure like Job in the bible. I just got HSV? Genital outbreak lasted just over two weeks the most painful thing I have ever had and I have had three children two which were cesarean births. My partner had No visible signs he has HSV-1 we never thought anything of it. We are older I felt so shameful… and now I have this for life 😢

I know a person who had occssional lesions on a lip. It was cured and never returned by using direct sunlight two hours after applying an ointment made of 5ALA dissolved in DMSO. Both of these can be bought from Amazon or other sources. Basically its Photodynamic Therapy..or PDT. It should be applied just as a breakout is starting. It can be repeated if needed. Some people have an upset stomach if they take it on an empty stomach, so try in the morning, with food. Take the recommended dosage, as written on a bottle, usually it's 1-2 pills a day
