They can certainly swim better than me but I too can doggy paddle...and that's it. I can remain afloat by floating facedown in water as well but I can't do any strokes.

My brothers yellow lab had 3 litters of pups. On the 3rd we took the runt and he turned out to out grow all his litter mates. Was the best friend I ever had, he lived for 14 years and is missed every day
