I just picked this video at random because I’ve been watching a lot of your videos in preparation for a big interview today and it went so much better that I expected with your advice, still don’t know if I’ll get but i feel so much more confident in my job search if this isn’t the one. Their faces withe every response and specially the questions at the end was amazing, the hesitation question was a banger and they just complimented my answers and my overall performance so just thank you 🖤🖤

I’m retired, and want to get back to work part time. Watched a ton of your videos on You Tube, made notes, prepared for the behavioral questions, just returned from an interview, had a great time, asked questions at the end, she talked, then I asked if there was anything I needed to add. I asked the big hesitation question, and she replied she was planning to recommend me to two of the managers who currently have part time openings. Thank you so much, I have no fear for interviews going forward. Thank you. You are a gem!

I was looking for a good video like this before my interview and I found you! I would like to let you know that you help me boost my confidence because of your great tips and explanations. You help me how to answer all my interview questions the best possible way. I watch a lot of your videos before I got interviewed and learned about behavioral questions and STAR method. Also, your voice is very calming when I’m listening to your video and I like it. The day of my interview, I’m very calm, a little nervous but thought about all the things that you advice in your videos, most specially the “how to make the first impressions” 🥰. After my interview, they told me-they won’t do the second interview because they’re already satisfied of what they’ve heard. I nailed my interview and got hired right away! I thank you for making all your videos, I got the job I really wanted! Don’t stop making videos, you’re very good and very helpful. Thank you again!

How would you handle the salary question during a VA interview? It is my understanding that there is not much negotiating that goes on, at least till you accept the tentative offer as is.
@LifeWorkBalance Жыл бұрын
Good question - if they ask you about your expected salary, be honest! You'll have to do work ahead of time to really determine what a reasonable range is for your experience/geographical location/etc., but that research will pay off. I think it really depends! I do offer interview prep sessions (interview strategy and mock interview sessions). Both of these options may interest you and we can work through the different types of questions and scenarios you may encounter! The video is nice. It systemises all common sense considerations. It is very practical advice especially for younger generations. At the same time, having such videos demonstrates a big problem in our society. I mean (1) unwritten rules and (2) assessments based on biases and not the actual requirements advertised. How fair is it to assess something that is not clearly requested upfront? For someone who knows the unwritten rules and biases, that is probably fine. But how about younger generations? Evenmore such unwritten rules may vary company to company and the companies my lie and mislead that they look for someone defined in job description, while instead analysing candidates by some subjectively defined metrics, which can even be discriminatory. So, the existence of this video is an indication that our hiring practices are far from ideal...

I couldn't agree more - our hiring practices globally are far from ideal! However, I do believe they've come a long way, especially considering many employers used to just hire their friends and family instead of give adequate consideration to other qualified (and likely more qualified) candidates. These are also tips to help people have successful interviews, not necessarily a gold standard that applies to every single job. I hope people who watch these videos understand that they will have to apply them to themselves as needed, based on their experience, situation, and even the organization they are interviewing with. Thanks for watching!!
