I’m in my late twenties and I’m struggling to get my first job. I have a twin brother who is working and also drives a car. I personally have no interest in driving. It just goes to show that we are two people of the same age and have two completely different lives.

Hi Abby! I like your videos. I'm not very successful in my job interviews, although most recruiters are impressed with my background and experience. I'm applying for Director and VP positions and I believe I'm not being able to communicate very well during interviews. I'd like to talk with you and see we could schedule some sessions to practice and correct some of my mistakes. Thanks, Everton

not kidding , i asked for feed back basically and the whole time we really connected and instead of what i thought, it was complete opposite they had so many great things to say. The hesitation question lowkey comes off a bit strong i sawa a comment saying instead of that you could mend the question and ask something like “Is there anything I didn’t answer , possibly anything we can go over” Basically expressing you’d like to clear anything you didn’t answer during interview. anyways i’m yapping, this was a great vid and landed me such a Big opportunity thank you so much god bless

This was really great advice! I have an upcoming internal interview with a manager of one of my new team (just calling in the best role for me) and I'm so nervous because I'm so serious about it. But I have spoken to a few people on each team and they gave me amazing information. Now to apply it and relax my anxiousness.

I’m sorry, but in my experience, this is terrible advice. To ensure you have good questions for your interviewer: 1. Research the company and the position you are applying for. The best way to do this is by studying the company’s news releases on their website and thoroughly reviewing the job description from the job posting. 2. Ask specific questions related to this research, focusing as much as possible on the position you’re applying for.

Questions I'd love to ask, but never will: Why did the former person leave? What is your turnover rate? Why are your Yelp/Indeed reviews so poor? And lastly: Do you provide free lunch? I work in healthcare. Most hiring managers I interview with, try to sell me how great their crap company is and basically beg candidates to accept their offer. I do my research. I see how many vacancies are listed for the department I'm applying to. If I see 7 vacancies for a staff of 20. RED FLAG. If I see the posting was from 97 days ago...RED FLAG. If the company doesn't list the pay range (California law), I report them and also won't apply. There's a reason why the pay isn't listed. They're cheapskates!

What if I have a 7 year career gap but I'm still young? People seem to kind of freak out. I was pursuing a dream but that didn¡t work out very well. The problem is that that dream was poker and people tend to believe poker players are gambling/drug addicts, too lazy to have a normal job, looking for easy money, etc. nothing further from the truth. It was extremely difficult. However I just fail at portray that experience as it was, the most difficult (technically and in terms of consistency) thing I've ever done and which I'm very proud of. I'm from Mexico which makes things even worse. I guess I'll have to lie :'( which I really really hate tbh but seems like I don't have any other choice. Great vid btw. Thanks!

Nah, asking an interviewer if they would hesitate to hire you and asking for comparison with other candidates is way pushy and presumptuous. That might fly in the US, but elsewhere you will be seen as arrogant. Also, you need to pick a key question from each category to ask. I'm looking for work now and there is no way I'm going to get the time allocated to ask 15 questions requiring detailed answers,
@balduberdriver17 күн бұрын
Lack of integrity, you say? How are technical questions in an interview supposed to measure one’s ability to work on a project-especially if someone is having a bad day during the interview? Do 5 or 6 questions truly reflect someone’s capabilities? No, ma’am. Competition today is cruel. There are far too many of us, and an overwhelming number of people are struggling just to survive. If AI can help us secure a job and navigate through life’s challenges, then that’s perfectly fine. A skilled interviewer should be able to recognize potential where it exists and nurture it. Getting fired doesn’t mean someone is bad; it often reflects that the company operates with an outdated, "Carnegie-era" mindset. Instead of motivating employees to grow, they hold them back. This kind of mentality makes me sick: "Oh, you didn’t read 20 books like I did? You’re not good enough." That’s nothing but stigma and a lack of proper education.

If interviewer asked “I guess you might not be good at that.”, probably is because the interviewer wants to know what’s the interviewee’s reaction or how the interviewee tackles bad clients if she/he was facing a difficult or bad tempered client, or a client who is always saying negative words to the people they are dealing with.The interviewers wants to know the interviewees’ reaction under these kinds of bad circumstance, so interviewers try to intimidate the interviewees in such kind of questions. 😅 hope I was making myself clear. 😊

If you are sincerely enthusiastic and really NEED and WANT the job and DO have experience but have a tough time committing things to memory, this is viable. Almost everything is learned on the job as long as you have a working background and surface knowledge. My opinion only. Using this to land a job you have no buainess applying for then NO, lol. You also do interview coaching for a living so of COURSE your against it, lol. I just realized that at the end of writing my comment. Much love to you anyway ❤️
