The biggest mistake of your life is asking an old lady(néni) in a hungarian village: How are you doing? Prepare for a several hours long uninterruptible monologue, and if you're lucky enough to survive, at the end you'll know everything about her.. literally EVERY THING! The name, the age, the height, the eye color of all children and grandchildren, the last meal she cooked, her favorite recipes, how a fox stole one of her chickens last week, her blood pressure this morning, the story of her kidney stone surgery, every job/school she and her family ever had, etcetc. No joke, it feels like.. your brain cells commiting suicide one by one.

For us hugging kissing and being way too friendly for the very first time and some next ones afterwards just feels superficial, that's why we don't really like it. Cos ofc you don't know me at all yet, so what for? Being honest and talk nicely and be normal is nice enough, and we appreciate that, no need for more. Then if we get along well and have common interests, trust each other, the rest can come in time. It's about this, more or less :)

@BishoujoMegami
@BishoujoMegami 3 жыл бұрын
In some cultures blowing your nose is considered embarrassing so they just sniff in public and blow their nose when no one is around. I used to live in Japan. It was like that there. They also wore masks when they had a cold so some probably let their nose run under the mask😅 I'm British and I used to be the same but it is better to blow your nose if you need to - in the presence of people or not. Now I blow my nose any time I need to😂

@@BishoujoMegami Haha, yes, cultures are different. I had a Chinese-Mongolian friend who used to fart in public, even when we eat. We just looked at him, he said: "What? In Chine this is normal. And to fart when you have to, its healthy too, and you will not be swollen by gastric gases." About Japanese people I do not know, but in the Movie Shogun, about the medieval Japan, it showed that after they eat, they belch, showing with this that the food was good. If you do not belch, they considered to be a rood act towards the host and the cook, because that meant that you did not liked the food made by him/her. I do not know if this custom today is still alive or not?

Wow, it is so great to hear these days that foreing people say also nice things about Hungary which is truly a nice country with loving people, everybody should come and see and the politicians are just politicians, what they do that has little to do with the average Hungarian, but this overwhelming good vibe from these stories makes me say also something. I was spending like twice 2weeks in the US, 1week in San Fransisco/ Sacramento and 1week New York and I have visitted some countries, but how friendly the Us people were everywhere that was surprising. Especially in big cities having that kind of friendly approach everywhere that was for me a nice experience. Unfortunatelly that is a bit missing from Budapest recently, but in the countryside maybe it still exists.

Certainly never felt loved like I did in Poland, 4 of my fellow teachers in Budapest who had taught in Poland found the Poles to be far warmer and easier to get to know. Trianon was a big cut for the country, what the people of Hungary have never deserved and tough we don't live in the past but it defies our present. The place of origin of the Hungarians is supposed to be India, and this study shows that the Hungarians are indeed the closest genetically to the Indians in India. This study is interesting because the largest number of DNA samples was used, over 1100. Today's Hungarians have slavic genes so they are pure European, but not their language. And also, they aren't from India. Before the Dravidians went to India, they were in Central Asia, that's why we have some ancient dravidian words and that's why Hungarians from 1000 years ago shared similar genes with Indians, more specifically with Dravidians

Hungarians more likely related to finnish family but could be with a high chance with the mongols too, i dont remember we had any thing with indiams in history.
