I lift surfed some OTIS Gen2s in a shopping center. I turned one off and one. When it botted up, the voice Went trough it's whole library and said anything it had in it's mind. You should try that one out if you ever find a talking OTIS gen2 again...

1:08 Is that that a joke ? Is this the motor ? How they managed to get a lift in service with that ? ... not in the lift bussines but looks like a toy to me. This crap is for light duty, just put this in a public building where lifts run for hours non stop ... I dont care about buttons indicators, lamps, voices, but this motor is toooooooo mean and miserable to be true.

safety brake or safety break??? All lifts have a safety circuit which must physically (not using software) not allow the lift to be moved when not connected. All traction lifts have safety gear track brakes that are pulled when the governor is engaged. This safety brake is never used unless a major fault happens which causes the governor to trip.
