The hydraulics lock in position if the engine stalls or quits. If the arm was up and you had a door on the cab, you would be stuck inside. There should be a red plastic knob on that relief valve. When you pull it up and twist it to the right it will allow the pressure on the lift cylinder to release when you press the peddle and lower the boom so you can get out.

Correct but these cabs are never configured with a door not this design

Yes, this happened to me. Scary. Had to call a friend to jump the battery or I was stuck in it. Then I learned online about the valve. Also learned the back window comes out but have not had to do that but did have to use the valve once.

I would have to look at your bobcat to see exactly what it's doing sounds like the computer went out

I have a 753 lift arms wont hold position it will hold if you use pedal to balance postion ,, any ideas ? Kubota motor is my favorite as well ,,, Thanks for any advice you may have ,, good job on video
