@ExploringNewEngland14 жыл бұрын
@AndrewkMcAllister it actually does really well. I can go 80 MPH and straight with no wobbles. but I keep it around 65-75 MPH because it feels better and less stress on tranny and engine. Once I install my new axles with 4:10's it should be even better on the HW. :) good question. thanks for watching

This is so good to see. I sold my XJ and bought an '11 Range Rover and sadly Range Rover owners think they can offroad. The rover is great on the highway, but your video is actually offroading and I appreciate that. So hilarious to see "offroad" comparisons by Autocar in the UK where they think wet grass is really offroad. I'll be getting another Jeep soon, they're unstoppable.
@ExploringNewEngland12 жыл бұрын
the bumper and tire carrier came on the XJ when i bought it. :D so did the light mounts. they where made by rock lizard and are no longer offered. if you do some google search on them you may find people making and selling copy's (just as good) I posted pictures of them in detail on my build thread so people could copy them themselves they are really good design and basic. cool stuff. I will make sure the thread is posted in description above for you. ttyl man

bdaddy23 That's good, sounds like she went to a good home. I suppose my two XJ's, a '96 and '98 are enough, besides, don't want to hear the girlfriend's static, lol. Do they have any trails up in Adams for mild wheeling? The 98 only has a 3" lift w/31's but the 96 has, I think 4.5 running 33's. BTW, I'm next door in RI, not to many places to wheel down here.

yeah them the breaks hard to find spots sometimes. but western MA is full of nice trails. there are go around's if you can't make the cliffs. I would not hesitate to go because video looks to challenging. I just chose to take it as is head on.. the 2 cliffs tho you maybe hunting for a go around a little sooner. but they there even if have ti backup some. off road on my friend.

canonfs40user I know this is old but the XJ, TJ, and ZJ were the best Jeeps ever made. After 2001, they started replacing all the great stuff with junk, then got rid of the 4.0 and started using a minivan drive train in the wranglers for the JK. Jeep is full of garbage now.

Hey i just bought a 2000 cherokee for my first vehicle and i plan on building it i’ve wanted one for a while it’s super clean but it has a knock so i’m having a new jasper put in and i think this video has made up my mind on what lift to go with,we’re you on stock axles in this video because i’d like to not have to do anything with the axles,i don’t want to get new axles but i do wanna do lockers and maybe gears depending on how involved it is,and i was worried about high speeds,did you have to do anything with the front end to be able to hold 80 mile and hour steady?Also what size is your wheel and tire setup
@ExploringNewEngland3 жыл бұрын
Nothing. She drove straight and fast as I wanted. I had 33x12. Also the lift was great and so was the support. I wore out the first set of bushings and they changed the design and send me the new ones free. I had bought a Ford 8.8 with disc brakes and 4:10's and a high pinion Dana 30 with 4:10s but never got around to installing them before selling the beast. Have fun. I miss mine
