Lifters: Don't melt your pushrods!

Not all lifters are created equal. It's especially important to check for proper fitment on Dart LS Next blocks when using solid lifters, because the standard LS specific offerings generally do not properly fit. Basically, Dart LS Next blocks need SBC specific lifter bodies with LS link dimensions. Some manufacturers have specific kits for Dart LS Next blocks now.

That is good info for sure. People will rush and jam those in due to using what they have rather than checking and thinking. A little bit of money now vs a lot of cash later.

Wow great information. Never even thought about galley blockage from the lifter! now I'm going to have to look at my little stock rebuild just to see what a "OEM" set up looks like.

I could only imagine how frustrating and heartbreaking it would be to build a Dart block setup to only use the wrong lifters and smoke the valve train and potentially the pistons. Curious how much better the Dart blocks are over GM LS blocks?
