Geez, seeing Phil dismantle then reassemble the whole suspension in less then a handful of minutes makes me envious only because I live in New Jersey where salt is used on the roads to melt wintertime snow making my 1998 Honda CR-V almost impossible to work on. It took me 2 hours just to remove the front rotor using a 4 lbs sledgehammer & 3 jaw puller. Currently, I'm stuck trying to remove a seized upper control arm bolt...

Can you please tell us the specs on the rear coil overs at max full length compared to the stock coil over, so we can get an idea if they can be used to lift the rear like you did to the front.

I haven't had a chance to install them yet. I've been busy getting a new shop. Hopefully soon.

After I bled my brembos and installed brembo pads it feels like the oem calipers have more stopping force/ power.

I just had maxspeeding coil overs put on my crv rd1 I had a 3 inch lift kit put on as well but they also did all the tie rods control arms I’m in australia and I had all the bits sent from Clearwater Florida. Japanese manufactured car so they are all the same. I haven’t finished with the ride height adjustment or the cambers yet. And I’ve had that drama with the cheap pads it’s the compounds they use.. I had mine start to fade coming down cradle mountain in tassy. Had to keep pulling over let them cool down.

Edited to add one more comment. Its not a proportioning problem. It could mitigate some of it, but masks the real problem. You're trying to use the stock amount of pressure and volume from your brake master cylinder to your brake cylinders on the calipers. If they were the same surface area and amount of cylinder, you would see no change at all. Problem is you increased cylinder count and probably surface area per cylinder as well, so the same amount of energy is being distributed across a lot more surface area. You need a master cylinder that can supply more volume and pressure to compensate. *Edit* ABS pump removal may assist as well. Once done, you are pressurizing a secondary system (lines) with your brake mc that will be pushing the same amount. This will increase pressure slightly in the lines. Between pump removal and a proportioning valve that would move the ratio slightly more to the front, it may be enough to reduce your fade and allow steady pressure. Good luck!
@hondaresource11 ай бұрын
I dont have the stock MC, I have a larger 1" bore MC. The problem is the MC though because it has air in the fluid coming directly out of the rear port.

Question unrelated to the video, how is the phantom grip in the rear diff holding up so far? I know you put it in awhile ago. Any metal in the fluid or anything weird?
