Could we get a link to the LED head lamp? There's so many on amazon not sure which is this specific one. This one you have looks nice as hell.

20:56 you're gonna want a dual core radiator anyways. No big deal breaking the vent line on the stock single core radiator

The vacuum line you plugged looked like it was to the idle air control IAC which should not be plugged, were you having idling problems?
@AutoDetour2 жыл бұрын
Nope. The IAC is still routed to the intake pipe. This was a large vacuum port that went over to something on the passenger side of the engine. Don’t remember what now. It’s been too long since I removed it. Lol

Awesome 😎 I have two of the trucks I’m needing to lift cabs off🤘 I’d look into the 4R100 transmission! I know Monster Transmissions sell a beefy one for under $3k

If you still have this apart how about some better pictures of that vent tube stuff, I can see it but not well enough to make out how it is attached. One is the transfer case the other is the transmission, tube.

Some people laugh, but every time I do a motor job in the shop on a V8 F150 97 up I yank the cab off. I've tried it the out the top way many times and removing the body takes about the same amount of time and is a lot easier since the engine is all out in the open. A big plus is a look on the customer's face when they come by and take a look. LOL Thanks for sharing this project. Very interesting. Hope it goes well for you.
@AutoDetour2 жыл бұрын
Haha! Probably the same look I get from my neighbors when they walk by and I have my garage door open. 😂
Auto detour, I have a 4.6 li triton. I think it would be so awesome if you took a 4.6 block and built it block up and get as much horsepower as possible, they can handle more than 1,000. Or do it with a 5.4. I think that would gain a lot of attention and it would be awesome having a 1,000 horsepower gramps.
@AutoDetour2 жыл бұрын
My new block is a built 5.4. Internals are rated for well over 1,000 so we'll see how far we push it....

Great video. Very informative. Would be super nice to have a video dedicated to removing and reinstalling the cab. Wire disconnects, oil, a/c, etc. that needs to be drained. You make it look really easy and the results do open up a ton of possibilities for maintenance and upgrades.
@AutoDetour2 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea. Maybe I can put one together with the footage once I get the cab back on. I'm sure the EPA will be extra interested in a video on how I disconnected the a/c, LOL
