The Lotus racing team use a plank along the sill (you can see the chassis rail ; put it as far back as you can go). I've tried it and it works great.

Very cool. I'm always interested in the little shortcuts people can use.

Can you be more specific regarding "plank along the sill" ? I'm interested in lifting an Emira which essentially has the same frame. Jack ing on the jack points leaves nowhere to put jack stands.

Awesome content as always. My 400 is about 1000 miles away from its first oil change under my ownership. This video will come in very handy!

Now I've never done this personally but I'm been told that for most 400s the dealerships will actually give you that first oil change for free. And they also need to do a data dump from the computer. See if you can negotiate with your dealership for a free oil change and data dump

Subscribed. Awesome content, no youtuber-fluff, just real ownership vids. Super useful - I'm considering an Evora/Evora S in the future and your vids definitely assuage my worries about Evora ownership. I'm in SW CT btw so "sort of" in your neighborhood I think (at least on the grand scale). LMK if you're at any NY/NJ/CT events, would love to chat!

(For Brad)- Absolutely. I've been delighted that the ownership experience on the mid-engine Evora. I was concerned that it was going to be a bit of a nightmare to work on. If your mildly handy I think you do most normal things. I'm thinking these cars will only go up in value and they're great. So if you're considering one, I'd say jump in. Cheers!

You sir, are absolutely 100% correct. Thank you very much for the comment. I'll have t to track down the knucklehead that did that. But moving forward, trying to do more of the maintenance myself. It's back on the car now, and correct side up. Cheers.

I though lifting using the suspension was a big no no? Genuine question - LotusTalk forums seem to think it's an awful idea. Also, do you know if the Evora 400 has jack points marked as well?
@GoodmorningGoodnight3 жыл бұрын
400 is the same with Jack points. And as far as the suspension goes. That's the same thing that holds your car off the ground. So I have no problem with lifting on it. Suspension is one of the strongest things in that car.
