It’s always lovely to see you mum! She was waving her finger at you, that’s the universal sign for being in trouble! I wonder what you did 😂 The two jackets both look fabulous. The linen looks completely different from the ponte, it’s amazing how a different fabric can change the look of a garment. It was strangely interesting to see the avocado tree, lol! I detest avocados, but i’ve never seen them growing before. I was surprised at the tree, for whatever percular reason, I didn’t expect it to look like that. 😋

Thanks for an excellent video. I agree with you about the serger. I only use it for finishing, not for construction. To me, it's worth the extra time to control the construction with basting and sewing.

Yep, for the placket, I’d put the buttons on the other side. Consider that they’ll need more length too.

Great video .. Thanks I've got a quilted fabric that'll need to be lined (unfortunately). I bought the fabric on a massive discount and had no idea what I was going to make out if it. But this jacket will be perfect SLEEVELESS. I'm also thinking zipper and snaps placket. Minus the hood and welt pocket. Just wondering if it'll end up too bulky??? Have you got any plans for a sleeveless version? I'm dithering on a rib knit for the collar? And around the arm? I'll prob end up cutting out both collar options and see how it looks.
