They were used for night adaptation, as red light does not affect your night vision. Red goggles would be worn prior to heading out for a night flight. A minimum of 20 minutes was recommended in order to allow the eyes to adapt.

Actually usme y axis pe log intensity liya he ...actually app samjho...jese jese threshold intensity kam hogi vaise vaise photo receptors aur jada sensitive ho jaenge light ke ....isliye curve niche ki taraf bataya he ..aur mene sensitivity hee liya he isliye curve upar ki taraf jaa raha he....AAYA KYA SAMAJH me...??
