I really like the way you describe how the products FEEL! Can definitely relate and think is a super important thing in a review. The ingredients we can always see, but the feel, the consistency, etc, only if you get a sample, which is not always possible - I live in Brazil and, though we have a Sephora in my town, they don't give out samples like in the US. And I usually buy mostly from drugstores or online anyways.

I'm someone with super dry/dehydrated/hypersensitive skin and normally love multiple layers and a rich moisturiser (plus an oil), but Summer needs something a little different. Instead of a heavy cream I'm using a lighter weight moisturiser and a couple of layers of laneige cream skin for a lighter weight take on moisturiser and oil. This on top of first essence, toners, essence and a light weight serum (Sioris calming day serum) are keeping me hydrated and moisturised. I'm also using an azelaic acid serum during the day for redness relief/anti aging and my tretinoin at night. Obviously I'm using an spf50 (Purito) on top to seal everything in. I'm currently enjoying the Aqulabo kombucha hydrating toner and the Pyunkang Yul toner/esence over the Missha first treatment essence in the morning. It's still a lot of layers, but for someone as dry as I am this is fairly lightweight compared to my normal routine. I don't get oily - I think my skin gave up on producing serum when I hit menopause, but I do have rosacea and eczema and need a lot of moisture from my skincare. HA and I don't really get on that well, but there are many of the other products I would like to try. Thanks for the recommendations and best wishes.

Woah replacing a serum step with a highly concentrated essence is such a good idea! I would totally do that next year, since every summer I visit my grandparents in Asia where the humidity is CRAZY. I can’t use the i’m from vitamin tree gel. It makes my skin breakout eventhough i like the texture on my oily and sensitive skin. I use isntree mugwort cream as my moisturizer. Anyway, which one do you prefer, purito centella unscented serum or isntree mugwort ampoule?

Kelly. Have you ever heard of The Pure Lotus Brand? I found them on Peach & Lily’s Website. They have a JEJU Lotus Leaf Essence that says it’s 89% pure Lotus Leaf Extract. It sounds like it would be amazingly hydrating! The only downside is that it’s $64. But if it’s as good as it sounds I think it would be well worth the purchase. Would you consider reviewing it?

My HG mask for me right now is Isntree Real Mugwort Clay Mask. I just finished the second tube and about to start using the third. It makes my skin clean, super soft, and doesn't dry out my face, like another clay mask in the market. Actually, it's the best Mugwort product I've tired, and yes! it's even better than the most popular product - I'm from Mugwort Mask. I do recommend you guys to check this one out. :)

See skin is all so different bc I couldn’t imagineeeee using more than one layer of toner! Sometimes even a gel moisturizer is too much for me. The great barrier relief has been doing good as a last serum also serving as a moisturizer... I have been enjoying the vitamin tree tea gel or whatever from I’m from, & the rice toner & the mugwort essence I’ve been loving!

I was given a sample of Isntree Micellar Cleansing Oil and it’s really wow! I’m just finishing my Hada Labo before getting the Isntree. I also use the Primera as a 1st essence then I use it again after my toner. Missha’s Red Algae Treatment Essence looks interesting but I haven’t checked the ingredients yet.

Hi Kelly, I live in a very humid climat and my skin is normal to dry on my cheeks but so oily on the T zone and since the weather is so hot these days I always wake up with a lot of sebum on my T zone in the morning and even tough I cleanse with a gentle cleanser (soon jung 6.5) I always end up at noon with a shining face and it looks horrible. I don’t put any fondation only sunscreen and oh god i look like a light so I was hoping that maybe if you see my message you can direct me on the products I could use for morning and night routine because all this excess of sebum is breaking me out so bad. The products that I’m currently using : soon jung cleanser, toner, double barrier cream. Benton snail bee sérum and mad hippie vitamine C serum For oil cleanser I started with heimish all clean balm but i stopped it to see if my skin is less oily. I just lately discovered your channel and you brought me some much good and helpful advices, so thank you !

I'm still bitter that Etude House discontinued The Zero Sebum gel cream; it was the BEST for summer (for oily skin), so fresh and lightweight. And about the By Wishtrend 15% Propolis Ampoule... it's one of my fave products.... but in fact on oily skin it does stay tacky on the skin for a long time that's why I use it as an night serum. I always see "dryer" people say it's so lightweight and absorbs so quickly, but it's not the truth for all of us hehee. Still love it, it's the best for inflammation. ^^

Klairs supple prep toner is thick and the hydrating water is very thin! I personally prefer thinner toners for deeper hydration but supple prep is a good one if you like a more full body toner.

Hello Louise So sorry about your face. You should try an Aloe Vera gel. Usually you can find it at local pharmacies or large store. I don't know much about UK... The quickest thing is to get one of those and you can go online and look for CosRx or Wishtrend they have some good aloe Vera products.

I’ve never used a propolis product before and came across the iUnik Propolis serum. It’s cheaper than the Wishtrend one, have you used it and if so, is it a good alternative? I’m trying to decide between that or the Purito Unscented centella serum. Which do you recommend for mostly dry skin and well aging?

Iunik serum is good but it does contain essential oils so I personally choose not to use it any longer. (I have a video review on it from 2019). You might want to try the Purito if you're looking for well-aging benefits.

I use illiyoon in the summertime and it's great! It absorbs quickly and doesn't sit on top with richness so for your dry skin I think it could work well!
