Light Bulb Day #1 - New Colored Incandescent And VINTAGE CFL Bulbs!

Brought to you by fleabay, got some more bulbs for the hoard. A bunch of smaller incandescent indicator/carnival bulbs of various colors, as well as a few vintage CFL bulbs.
Firstly the colored ones, starting with the small ones; S11 type "golf ball" shaped, 130V, 7.5 watt bulbs in medium E26 bases--two of each color. In ceramic (not opaque like said in the video); red, green, orange, blue, pink, white, as well as clear. Seem to work well mainly as indicator bulbs for the most part, really great to have.
Then of course the bigger ones; S14 type "carnival ride" shaped, 130V, 11 watt lamps in medium E26 bases--two of each color (except white, 3). Transparent ones are red, green, amber, blue, yellow, and clear. Ceramic ones are white and bug yellow. Again, great as carnival ride lamps, or they would also work well as indicator lamps. Now I gotta find those in the rest of the ceramic colors.
Then, the best part--PREHEAT compact fluorescents in a 4 pack!! YES, I got 'em! Two in a warm white, and two in a cool white. 4 Philips 13 watt PL-C type lamps, GX23-2 base, in 4 Sylvania 13W magnetic ballasts, medium E26 base. YEAH!!! Love that kine! In a FOUR PACK!!!! AND, they're brand new, I didn't even remember to mention that in the video, they're all brand new old stock! Both the ballasts AND the bulbs! So I'm the first owner. Awesome! Worth EVERY penny! China would have NEVER made quality like this anytime ever!
Then of course I show the rest of my hoard in the middle and at the end of the video, I need to get videos made of those bulbs! I actually have some more preheat CFLs I haven't shown yet, but need to.

Well, looks like someone had a few bucks to spend! Nice bulbs! I thought that haul was great until I saw your collection which absolutely DWARFS mine! You had a whole mess of bulbs in that rack there, that was tremendous. That's like my tergent collection--more than you could ever need in life. I actually have a video on them little S11 orange bulbs that I recorded some time back but haven't released. Those PL bulbs were some of the most blink-happy I've seen in a long time. Used to see those in can lights all the time in buildings. A lot of them, sadly, have been changed over to error dees.

Man, I would've thought I only had HALF the bulbs you have. I don't even have any circline bulbs yet, this collection is still going to build up from here over time. Can't wait to see your video! That's an idea for my PL bulbs, I would need to find a can that's tall enough to fit those bulbs.

@@lizboz Well I do have a lot of obscure bulbs, weird ones. Those are the ones I like to collect. I have a few Circlines, a couple in service too. I have a not-so-Circline, but rather more "Squareline" bulb that was an old retrofit kit for something like a floorstanding lamp with a big shade. While it's not a preheat, it is a 3-way. That's rare. Couple other 3-way fluorescents too. How about a CFL with a SIDEWAYS spiral instead of vertical? And that's not to mention the hybrid halogen-CFL bulbs I have in the additional lights on the workbenches in the garage. You'd be hard pressed to find those. So yeah, a lot of obscure items in my collection.

Yeah, not a whole lot in the way of weird bulbs here, but plenty of general purpose bulbs. I believe I saw a square shaped bulb like that in the video you made a while back on those Sunbeam bulbs. I think I've seen sideways spiral ones like that from Parrot175 as well. I don't have any hybrid ones either, but may one day if I can.

I wasn't even referring to that, but yes, it sucks. Anything made in China won't have the quality that USA made stuff once had, and it's because our country is ran by a bunch of big, fat, greedy, corrupt politicians who want what they can get for the least amount of money, while robbing the consumer of their money at the same time. Been that way for a while now.

@@Tag-Traeumer I never said it was China's fault that they're forced to make stuff using absolutely sub-standard components in sub-standard factories, only to ship it all out overseas, burning fuel, creating waste. That is all fueled by Corporate American Greed. When everything was still made in the USA, there wasn't all of this tomfoolery. I'm sure that on their own, the Chinese have got technology that's FAR beyond our standards.

@@lizboz I Agree. We are probably in an economic war, the West versus China. Unfortunately, I think we are too dependent on China in the West. We shouldn't underestimate China's technology in the way that Japan was underestimated.
