I have 2 Nicrons B24 and N73 2 AAAs or they have their own costum 10840 li ion 3.7 volt enlarged battery which replaces 2 AAAs I use with them 1 10440 and a dummy HyperPS conductor cells those are 20 Pc for 8 bucks multi use cells. :) They look brighter with the 10840 but again the longer battery makes better contact at both ends also they look great with the 10440+Dummy conductor cell. Basically it’s like an Olight iT3 Plus. I do notice the B24 works better with NIMH than the N73 B24 has white light ,Laser,Laser+light the N73 is a 90 degree twist light for cars or any place that’s to tight to fit in a normal FL. I’m happy with both I do believe on the I3T plus you can run a 10440 + Dummy Cell as it’s double AAA like my 2 Nicrons. If you ever get the chance try out the Nicrons they’re known for their twist lights. 😎😎😎

I just got my olight and wanted to run a 10440 on it. How long do you usually run it? Also now i want a manker

I've had it on for upwards of 10min and it seems to be fine. I haven't noticed an instance where I needed to run it longer, and if I needed a light for a longer time I usually have another more powerful one on me.

@@bobone866 That is precisely what I do, and every-now-and-again I am wearing something that prohibits carrying a larger light and 10440 powered I3T does a pretty good job as primary.

This video contains some useful information but it is also confusing. I have carried a Mag Solitaire for years but as my eyesight declines 37 lumens is no longer enough for me to see clearly. 200-ish lumens works but there are few lights the size of the Solitaire that can put out that much light. Running an Olight at more than twice the rated voltage will void the warranty and will also dramatically reduce the life expectancy of the L.E.D. emitter and MOSFET switch so it is not what I need. The K18 looks good but its reduced mass is a concern. Lower mass means less thermal mass which leads to higher operating temperatures and reduced life expectancy. The Manker has a lot more metal around the base of the emitter but it is rated last of the bunch in the video. Is there any word of an improved Olight rated to run with a 10440?

Thanks for the well formulated/thoughtful comment. I've been running the 10440 for almost a year now and it still seems to be doing fine. I am also late to the I3T+10440 combo and others have been doing it for much longer. Yea, that maglite seems like it would only be effective in very low light. How long are you leaving these lights on for? I know there were some posts on the OLIGHT Facebook group that did thermal tests on a handful of lights running them on high until the battery drained. The solitaire costs roughly the same as the K18 and with much less output. I also look at these as a tool to be used so if after a year of really hard use it needs to be replaced, at ~$20 it's not the toughest pill to swallow. OLIGHT has put out no news so I couldn't tell you. I can tell you that if you go on r/flashlight you will see a good write-up on why there are much better alternatives hence the K18.

Oh, and though the Manker may be last, if you want a light that's board is rated for the lithium cell I think both of them will make you rather happy compared to the Maglite.

They actually just today released the I5R that runs on a 14500 battery, seems like it might be a great choice.

Olight has caused some confusion because the i3T is rated to use "1 x 1.5V AAA Alkaline Battery (Included), 1 x 1.5V AAA NiMH/Lithium Battery (Compatible)". There is nothing I can find on their site about why it is not rated to use a 3.7 V lithium cell. Perhaps they just bought the L.E.D. assembly from another company and do not know all the technical details about it. My suspicion is that some of the people posting on flashlight forums know more about the i3T than Olight does. My Maglite served me well for many years when I had younger eyes but is of limited use now. What works for me these days is an 18650 light on medium which corresponds to an output of 250 lumens. They do not state the intensity at the beam centre so I figure a 200-ish lumen light will do. The 18650 light is too large to carry around with me all of the time. I had a 16340 light that was bright enough too but was still too large to carry around every day. For 46 years I carried a cigarette case but converted it to a '"bat belt" in a can' when I quit smoking. For convenience the light needs to fit in my little case so a 14500 light might be too large. The K18 looks like a good choice if it does not get too hot. So far I can find nothing online about the K18 operating temperature on high with a 10440 cell. If the maximum operating temperature is reasonable I will probably buy one. Thanks again for posting the helpful review.
