HW - V = -10 M= -1 Truly loved the session. No doubts. Explanation - u = -10 ( object is in front of mirror) f = -5 (focus is in front of mirror) so, 1/f=1/u+1/v 1/v = 1/f - 1/u 1/v = 1/-5 - 1/-10 1/v = 1/-10 v= -10 M = -v/u M= -(-10)/-10 = -1 . Hence , v = -10 , M = -1 . Amazing Session.

Homework Answer: (a) 10 cm (b) -1 Explanation: u = 10 cm f = 5 cm 1/v + 1/u = 1/f 1/v + 1/10 = 1/5 1/v = 1/5 - 1/10 1/v = 2 - 1/10 1/v = 1/10 v = 10 cm m = -v/u m = -10/10 m = -1 Therefore, the image is real and the same size of the object.

We have mirror equation=1/v+1/u=1/f-eq.1 Where v image to Mirror distance u is other to mirror distance and f is focal length 1/v+1/10=1/5 or v=10 Magnification = -v/u = -10/10 V=-1 Image size is same size of object real and inverted
