This is great information. I just got the Canon R6 Mk ii and I am starting to learn more about professional lighting this week. This was very helpful and you explained the many options available so well. 👍🔥

I have used the Para 222 several times outdoors, it only takes about 20-30 KG of sandbags. The entire Para series is the best solution for outdoor shoots with the shifting of the focusing rod, you get any light shape on the object. I have been a professional photographer for 13 years and have almost the entire Broncolor range to work with on location and in the studio.

Hmm I’m not sure that 20-30 kg of sandbags would help here in Florida, I used outdoor Broncolor Para 88 with sandbags of 25 kg and once it fell right on me because of the strong wind 😂

It could be lol 😅 To my mind it’s one of the best lighting equipment brands that’s why I prefer working with it! By the way the representative from Broncolor team took part in my first workshop for photographers 😇🙌

when i was shooting sci fi conventions i used a strip light and a 5ft octobox. the strip light at 60 left and the octo at 45 right of camera. i found that gave the best detail of the costumes and still lit everyone well for the bigger grops. the strip was set about 3/4 stop brighter than the octobox. pretty basic but i couldn't adjust the lights for each person as they came out of the contest too close together.
